Evening group. Has anyone had issues with the 65,000 Thai Baht monthly deposit method to renew your retirement visa? I have my Retirement Visa and have since been depositing over 65k baht into my thai bank account since having my Visa.

Has anyone had issue with renewing the retirement visa with this method at Phuket immigration?

I went to Hua Hin immigration office today to get some info on what’s required for my next trip. I’m coming in on 90day non O visa and I will deposit the 800k in my Thai bank leave for 2 months.

The following will also be required

TM 30

Rental owners ID

Rental agreement 6months - 1 year

As well as the bank letter and statements etc.

My question is ( which I forgot to ask) do you need a 6 month - 1 year agreement for every renewal?

Hello,

if I renew my non-immigrant O visa (marriage) in Phuket and a few weeks later we move to another province, do we only do a TM30 in that other district or do we have to redo the entire immigration process?

Thank you

Hi everyone!

I’m currently preparing my DTV application through the Thai Embassy in Ottawa, and I’d love to get some feedback from people who have already gone through the process 🙏

Regarding the 500,000 THB financial requirement:

* Do the funds need to have been in your bank account for a specific period (e.g. 3–6 months)?

* Or is it acceptable if the funds were deposited more recently, as long as you can prove the source?

Also, for those who have renewed or extended their DTV:

* Were you asked to show the same financial proof again?

* Any specific requirements or surprises during the renewal process?

I’ve seen quite a bit of conflicting information online, so any real experience with the Royal Thai Embassy Ottawa would be super helpful.

Thanks a lot in advance 🙌

I am not going to renew the retirement visa which is due on 16apr and i am planning to leave on 15apr. As i will back to thailand later 1 week using visa exemption.

1. Do i need to cancel the retirement visa (with multiple re-entry) before i leave?

2. Will i be asked any question when i come back using visa exemption?

3. I may extend 30 days, again will i be asking any quesion (judging of having retirement visa before and now change to visa exemption.)

Dear channel, I currently have non-O visa (spouse). Every year, when I renew visa, I have to submit the bank statements for the past two months, showing that I have more than 400K THB in the bank. However, I have seen in the website that 2 months bank statement is for the first application only. For the renewals, various website says 3 months statements are required. Is that the case now? Did Thai government recently change the requirement? I would appreciate it if anyone could give me advice on this.

Someone who gets a visa based on studying Thai boxing and is approved for 5 years... If he leaves Thailand after 6 months, travels to his country for a few months, and then returns to Thailand... will they ask at the entrance to see the course registration again?

Just thought I'd share my experience getting a new DTV stamp for the first time as I worried a little about it given the increased scrutiny with (short term) tourist visas as of late. I left thailand for 3 days to Cambodia, and got stamped back in for another 6 months without a hitch (as expected). I have a DTV under the soft power activity scheme and I thought they might ask for some proof having attended the events (which i could provide) but nope, no questions asked whatsoever. So this is just to put other people at ease, as I've found these type of posts helpful to decrease my own stress on the matter as well.
