Jaden Oasis correct. Fidelity is a lot better than Charles Schwab. Fidelity reimburses your fees instantly where Charles Schwab does at end of month. I have both actually and have tested both. Fidelity is way better.

John Storey it’s more of a risk. Kasikorn bank is more friendly than any other bank. It also depends of the agent you use also and how you apply.

I agree with Gary Porter. I also have a 35sm condo that has two A/C units. I only use one AC unit that is on pretty much 24 hours and the average bill is about 1,900 tbh a month. That’s through MEA which is cheaper and my water bill is average about 180tbh. Keep in mind this is for me and my girlfriend as far as water goes.

I agree. I prefer to keep most of my money in a higher interest account in the US. I just keep an extra 20,000 THB for the exchange rate fluctuations.

I do not understand how ridiculous some of the responses are to questions in this thread. Common sense says if you move, you update your address PERIOD..That would be the same as me saying I moved to a different condo in a 46 floor building. It may be the same building but my physical location has changed within that building. Bottom line is use common sense and do the TM-30. Some immigration offices require even when you leave simply for a short week or two from Thailand. When I leave to travel to Vietnam or just to go back to the USA I still do a new TM-30 regardless when I return. It’s not like it is expensive or anything.

I ran into this problem also initially setting up my Rabbit card. I went to 3 different stations and found out that the newer USA passports have a thicker plastic bio page. The scanners can’t read it as it reflects the signal back from their scanner. You have to go to a station that has tourist office and have them manually enter your passport information to set up your rabbit card. Then I use my K Bank to top it off when I need to.

you are correct TDAC is keeping better records now. My friend who has been doing border runs and even flights just yesterday was turned away after doing it this year twice.. so they are definitely cracking down on it.

cool. So it’s not like when you first apply needing to show it’s a pension or social security? They are just concerned about the THB amount?
