Do I need to print my Non-O retirement visa E-Visa for immigration, and how does the timing work with my entry to Thailand?

I just received notification that my Non O retirement visa was approved. They sent me the E Visa to my e mail. Do I need to print that or just keep the e mail when I arrive to immigration. Also did I screw up on the timing as far as applying for the Non O. It says approved and shows expiration December 7th but my flight arrival is October 31.. I thought when approved it starts upon entry to Thailand. If thats the case do I have enough time to do the 1 year extension when I arrive? Thank you for your help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
You need to print the E Visa you received via email and present it to Thai Immigration upon your arrival. It is important for ensuring a smooth entry and avoiding potential issues. Regarding your timing, the expiration date on the visa is separate from your permission to stay. When you enter Thailand, you will be granted a 90-day permission to stay, which is valid regardless of the visa expiry date. Therefore, you should have enough time to apply for a one-year extension upon arrival.

I didn’t print mine, I just screen printed it to my phone and immigration were more than happy. But I agree, print it and give it with your passport. Just in case your phone dies

Print out the Evisa you received. Show it to the Thai Immigration Officers upon arrival. Make sure you are stamped in for 90 days on arrival.

thank you again for clarifying this.

Yes, print it. You don't want any mistakes like being stamped in visa exempt, or the airline not letting you board because you can't show them a visa.

Your timing is fine. The date on the visa is when the visa expires. That's completely separate from your permission to stay in Thailand. When you enter, your visa will be gone, used, invalid. But you'll receive a permission to stay stamp that will be for 90-days based on your non-O visa.

its a common question after people apply, but 90 days to use the visa and you get stamped in for 90 days when you arrive. Another common mistake is being preoccupied with getting here and not looking at your stamp before you walk away from immigration. Remember to check your stamp BEFORE you leave immigration.
