Good afternoon. I came to Laos to get a 90 non-o visa because Nong Khai imm. doesn't do them. I fill out the paperwork with my 900k baht bank certificate from Krungthhai as proof of funds. They write back that they want 3 months of bank statements, which I can't obtain nor have I had the money in there 3 months. If this goes further south, do all Asian embassies need the 3 month proof of funds or is there somewhere I can go with my bank certificate being enough? TIA for any thoughts.

First stop Bangkok Bank for Confirmation Letter ( I already have the statement) The girl said to me, I need to have 400 or 800k baht in the account for 4 months. I said I don’t use that method, I use monthly method, she goes and speaks to the Manager, comes back and says, they cannot do letter. I go to the branch in Robinsons (where I got my statement) as it’s now open, explains the story to the girl, she prints off Confirmation Letter and I pay her 100 baht, she explains that the rules have changed. I head to Immigration (Roi Et) with all the docs required as per Koh Samui list. He checks the statements and asks where the money is coming from, I say the UK as they show as FTT transfers, as required. He says, but I want to see proof of money going into your account in the UK from your pension provider, luckily I have April 2025, on my phone. Koh Samui had never asked for such proof in the last 10 years, I don’t know if this requirement is new or not, and I pass the info on, for anyone who it may affect. 🙏🙏🙏

Hi, I need some help. Country: Netherlands.

I want to apply for DTV Soft Power/ Medical Care. Have been to Bangkok Hospital yearly for 3 years in a row now.

My "problem" is:

Wait for the 500K stay in my bank account for 3 months before applying in a neighbour country of Thailand? And enter Thailand with a tourist visa for now.

Or: try and apply after 1 month of having the 500K in my bank account . Apply from The Netherlands. And take my chances that hopefully it won't be a probleml having the 500K in my account just for a 1 month.

Any Dutchies have experience with this?

Thanks for any help in advance! 🙏😊

Approved DTV Workcation in Oslo. Sent all the papers needed, I'm a Youtuber so I sent all the payment receipts of the last 7 months by Google. The application went smoothly, it took basically 2 days. They asked for 3 months statements from my bank, and to describe my work. All in all, it went great! 😊

I’m hoping someone can help me with an answer to this. I am US citizen trying to apply to my local thai embassy which is Washington DC. The consulate visa department never answers their phone or emails I have sent… Does anyone know if I have to keep the 500k bhat in my checking acct for a certain period of time at this embassy location before applying? I keep seeing 3 months in certain places but also saw someone in London applied the day after the $ was put into his acct and he was approved.

Good day Tod Daniels. I've had my marriage visa for several years and always made sure I had the 400,000 THB for 2 full months before renewal. Lately, I'm seeing some sights have said the 2-month requirement has been increased to 3 months. Others still remain for 2. A little confusing.

I have been getting some conflicting information on the Thailand DTV Visa on the requirements for the $14,500+ that’s needs to be in bank. I have been seeing 3 months and 6 months. I will be applying online with one of the US embassy’s but before I apply does anyone know the exact time that money needs to be shown in the bank?

Approved in Hanoi (Workcation)

July 1, Tue: Applied

July 2 Wed: Add Doc

July 7 Mon: Approved

First of all, thank you so much to everyone who shared countless application reviews.

In my case, I annotated the Financial Evidence section in detail for the past three months and even included screenshot captures on current day, but ultimately, I was asked to simply resubmit the original bank statement. Just for your reference.

Just as I’ve received help, I’ll do my best to answer any questions you may have.

Hi All, I'm new to the group.

I’m applying for a Thai non O-A visa. [members only]

One of the requirements is to provide a ”Recent bank statement for the last three months showing the applicant's name and ending balance of no less than $30,000 or proof of monthly income of not less than $2,500/month) along with the current bank statement showing incoming income”. I meet the $2,500/month requirement, though I only had the $30,000 for two months.

The doubt is that I usually keep the vast majority invested and not in a bank account.

Would it be beneficial to include a formal document from my investment account that indicates the total amount invested? The amount is significantly higher than the requirement, amounting to 800,000 baht.

Should I wait an additional month to submit my application?

I already rented a place to live. Should I provide a copy of the documentation from the home lease?

Is the application process based solely on uploading documents to the website or are the documents mailed to the embassy?

Thank you in advance.

PS: I already have Thai health insurance, completed the background check, the health certificate, a copy of my passport, and recent photos. My lease starts August 15.

Hello to everyone. I hope you can recommend me to find the best option for me in my situation. Thank you very much in advance...

I'm currently in Thailand and planning to leave the country in order to apply for the DTV visa. I'm self-employed in Spain and can show a bank account with regular income and a high current balance.

However, I see that the application might require bank statements from the past 3 months, and that's a problem for me, because in May I made a large investment in Spain that temporarily reduced my funds (I wasn’t planning to be applying for the DTV visa at that time).

Is there any country where they only will check the current balance and not the last 3 months? Or do I have no other option but to wait until 3 full months have passed?

I'm flying to Japan in 2 weeks, but I don't think it's the best place to apply.

Would it be better to go to Laos, Vietnam, or Malaysia, etc after Japan, before returning to Thailand (ideally already with my DTV)?

Thanks so much for your time and help!!
