- hi. Curious as to how you would recommend a person insures himself against an unexpected ie car accident, heart attack etc that would require intake and stabilization in a thai hospital bf travel back to US to access one’s Medicare is even possible? And if that person has a pre-existing but minor heart condition, how does he seek the fairest premium to pay?

If I plan on getting Thai Retirement Visa OA, but will still keep my US Medicare, is there an in-Thailand “Catastrophic Only” Plan that’s will cover unexpected hospitalization like in case of injury due to injury from accident?

- i appreciate you taking time to share your knowledge. Maybe u can answer this question: In subsequent annual retirement visa renewals inside Thailand, is there or is there not a mandatory requirement to show proof of thai-based health insurance? And if so, for somebody already keeping US medicare, who would only want get catastrophic (hit by car etc) in-patient thai coverage, do u have any leads? Thank you.

- I’m moving to Bkk in Dec. Everybody on this thread seems to recommend keeping physical US sim card. But recently I switched my Tmobile to E-sim. Was i mistaken to deactivate my physical TMobile sim card? or will i be okay installing a physical Thai sim card to use as day to day line on my iphone? Like is it either/or?
