Do I need to replace my lost TM.6 before applying for my visa extension in Thailand?

In BKK. My 90 day non-o expires in a month. I’ve scheduled an appt 1 week bf the expiration at Immigration to apply for my first-ever 1 year Extension. Every document will be in hand, except I’ve lost my TM.6. Departure Card. Can I wait until my scheduled Extension appointment to rectify the lost TM.6 or do I need to make special extra trip to immigration just to get a replacement TM.6 in advance? Thanks for your replies.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user in Bangkok is concerned about missing the TM.6 Departure Card before their upcoming appointment for a one-year extension of their 90-day non-O visa. Comments clarify that the TM.6 has not been issued at airports recently and may not be necessary for the extension process, alleviating the user's anxiety about having to replace the card.

- no I’d seen a Visa Extension checklist online that stated it was required. big relief to realize I’d actually never been issued one upon arrival.

TM6 hasn't been issued in over a year for flight arrivals. You may of had one if you entered via a land border.

- fantastic news. i came in by air. i guess i looked at an old EXTENSION checklist online, and convinced myself that I lost the card. I guess they never slipped a card into my passport.

don't think you had one. Or won't need it.

Good luck

I was at Immigration on Friday to apply for a month's extension and although the form stated a TM6, it wasn't required. ( temporarily suspended last year but back again from May 1st this year, see article in Bkk Post.)

Are you sure you received a TM6? They haven't handed them out at airports in over a year and stopped at most land borders a while ago too.
