Yes, always use the AIRLINES SITES to buy tickets, etc.

I used a couple of ‘online’ ticket sites but when I had to cancel a flight and rebook, their ‘insurance’ only gave me $200 on a $1400 ticket. Started always using the airlines sites then. Never been ‘burned’ again.

that is what I am thinking. He can qualify for a NON O visa because of his THAI WIFE and SON.

That means he shouldn’t even need the 400K deposit.

His company offers him additional possibilities.

After his arrival he could change his VISA to a MARRIAGE type of VISA.

I AM BY NO MEANS A VISA EXPERT but when I asked the Thai Consulate in LA if I could get a NON O before moving here, the answer was NO because I was neither with a Thai wife and family or supporting a Thai family.

I was trying to ‘beat the health insurance’ requirement as I had to come as a NON IMM O-A.

So he has ‘options’ plus there are more than a few VISA EXPERTS on FB.

usually you cannot get a NON O in most countries at a Thai Consulate unless you really have a THAI FAMILY in Thailand.

You said your are “returning” which means you have been here before to reside.

If you have a Thai Bank Account then use a money transfer service. I use WISE. Then depending on your THAI BANK LIMITS, you can transfer everyday or all at once even before you arrive back.

I transferred over $50,000 in a few days back in 2020.

My bank does not have a limit IN. Other Thai banks limit transfers IN to 50,000 baht or less.

Been using WISE (old TRANSFERWISE) for almost 2 years.

Part of the SEND process asks you the PURPOSE OF YOUR TRANSFER. You must go to the very last item in that list. It will be your future obvious answer for your INTERNATIONAL TRANSFER PROOF.

I again just got m bank to print out my DEPOSITS list for 2021 and the code ALWAYS INDICATED INTERNATIONAL TRANSFER as this was the proof I needed for my ANNUAL VISA EXTENSION

Many years ago, when none of this information was known to me and I guess most of the people I asked, my solution was get in the shower and use the hottest water I could stand on those bites, until the itching stopped. Always worked great. I will try that ‘spoon’ trick and maybe some of the other methods. I am O NEG and that is like a ‘mosquito buffet’.
