Good Morning, Im arriving in Thailand this week on my first Non O visa based on Retirement from the embassy in London, im a British passport holder.

I feel I have good understanding of the procedure like going to my local IO and finding out the local requirements (Surat Thani in this case) financial requirements, opening a bank account and seasoning the money Etc in regards to my extension of stay.

My question is regarding other paperwork, TDAC ill keep and print off, the initial TM30 thats my air bnb owners resposibilty but after that I have a house rented and a lease in place, my understanding is the landlady will have to do the first one then I could do them after that online or in person, what about going fwd ? everytime I travel internally in Thailand do i need to fill out a TM 30 at everywhere stay? And is there anything else im missing? Thank you in advance to this excellent group.

My wife and I would like to move to Thailand next year with non-O retirement visa. My understanding for lump sum money that we need to deposit in Thai Bank is 800k + 400k = 1.2 Mil tbh. Is this the same if my wife comes to Thailand a little later than me, say 3 or 4 months later? Or does she have to apply for her visa on her own and we need total of 1.6 million tbh? Another possibility is for her to follow me like 6 months later. If she does that, can we re-use the 800k that I used to get my extension by depositing into a bank account under her name? TIA

Can anyone advise please?

So my wife (Thai) and I have been married for 25 years this year. We've lived in the UK for most of those years, but now looking to retire to Thailand in 2 years when our son finishes uni.

Our son is 19 and holds a British passport. He was born in the UK. Would he be able to move with us and claim Thai citizenship without messing around with visas?

My concern is the whole national service thing. We didn't register him as eligible for national service as we live in the UK and at the time we had no intention of moving back to Thailand. It would be good if my son has the option of moving with us, even if it's only for a year or two.

Would this be an issue? Cheers

So a DTV holder cannot open a bank account. I tried all of them. Can I issue a Thai drivers license?

We're intending to apply for the DTV and then rent a house in Chiang Mai for a few years (kids will attend a private coop group). I understand we need to border hop every six months but I want to know is it necessary to go to different airports so it doesn't look like we're trying to be permanent residents?

We won't stay longer than five years but when I think about it we're not necessarily 'tourists'. Thanks

DTV Muay Thai

Has anyone who lives in Thailand applied for the DTV using a condominium or house in Thailand? I'm concerned about filling in my home country since my bank statement is from a bank in Thailand.

I am currently on the Thai vise website, I am applying in Hanoï.

They ask for your home address, should I put my address in Vietnam or in France (I'm french).

I can select that my permanent address is not the same as my current but I don't know in which order I should put them as both address are called home address.

Thank you
