I intended to buy a TR 60 days to enter Thailand, then change to non o under retirement. I read here that, need to apply it at immigration not less than 15 days before visa expired. Some advise that, not less than 20 days before visa expired, for some immigration office.
But I would like to know, is there any rule that we cannot do the above change of visa more than certain days before the visa expired? (Especially if it was applied in Pattaya immigration)
(I wanna to apply the above at the immigration earlier, said 45 days before TR visa expired. Because I worry that there will be any delay due to different requirements from the immigration that I have to prepare new document to reapply it)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user intends to change their TR 60-day visa to a Non-O visa under retirement status and seeks clarification on the timing for this application. It is noted that applications for visa changes should be made no later than 15 to 20 days before the current visa expires, but the user wants to know if there is a maximum timeframe for applying earlier (specifically 45 days before expiration), especially in relation to Pattaya immigration regulations. Comments suggest that most offices allow applications up to 30 days prior, with some places permitting a 45-day advance application.

Most offices allow for 30 days prior, but some like Bangkok, Phuket and a few others allow 45 days prior. From posts here Jontiem can be an odd ball. For tourist visa extensions they seem to want you to come in only a few days prior. In the case of a change from tourist visa to Non O, my guess would be they’d allow 30 days, but I think you’d be best to take a run out there and ask them specifically.
HK is the only Country I know(now) that you cant get a Non Imm O based on being over 50. UK/Europe/Australia and Countries neighbouring Thailand Issue them.
