What are the implications of arriving just before midnight on a 60-day tourist visa in Thailand?

Well tonight I completed a new tourist visa application for 60 days with 2 entries. Now I have to decide whether to spend $40 to file it here.

Then I went back and looked again at my BKK arrival time of 22:55. That is when the plane is supposed to land but then it needs to taxi to a gate, i am disabled so they make me wait until everyone is off the plane, that takes 30 minutes or more, then they help me to the door, and I get into their wheelchair and they must take me a different route because they must use the handicap elevator then I guess they push me to Customs and Immigration before baggage claim (that part I forget, only have done it once before). I always must stop at a handicap rest room when getting off the plane.

I am thinking I might get to customs 5 minutes before the date change. Who knows, my plane could be early.

What are your thoughts?

I would have thought they would look at the arrival date of your flight? If not then if you can get stamped in after midnight, good for you. :)

Not understand the date change and our thoughts? On entry you get 60 days of stay, where the day of arrival is day nr 1, if you're there just a few minutes before midnight I would say wait till after midnight. But it depends of when you plan to leave the country.

And or you have the Single Entry Tourist visa as the word says Single, 1 entry or you have the Multiple Entry Tourist Visa whereby you can leave and enter as much as you like during the 6 months of validity of your visa. The two entry Tourist Visa does not exist anymore.

Plane could be early too. You can't guess. Just make sure you have a visa that covers your stay with some time to spare.

You'll only get 1 entry on that 60 day tourist visa. They don't do double-entry anymore. If you plan on taking a trip outside of Thailand during your stay, it will cancel the visa when you leave Thailand.

A 30 day extension will cost you 1900 Baht if you need one while you're here.

It doesn’t matter I don’t think.. as long as you arrive within 2 months of your visa being issued.

My Single Entry Tourist Visa from the UK is valid for 3 months and gives one stay of 60 days on initial entry.
