I have recently applied for DTV from Pakistan . I was called in for an interview on 19th March where the visa officer asked me questions on my intent to stay in Thailand and my employment evidence. He also raised a little bit of concern on my no travel history in the past . Overall, interview went well.
How many days should it take for me to hear back from them ?
If approved, what would be the next steps ?
I have read about challenges at immigration in Pakistan as well as in Thailand while getting in or out on DTV,
Is that true ? What challenges can I expect to have ? What would be the solution?
Which areas should I focus on living in Bangkok, Thailand which are digital nomad friendly and have vibrant nightlife.
Any recommendations or information would be highly appreciated 🙏
I have seen many individuals and families applying for DTV. Where malaysia also gives digital nomads pass. Why people are not interested for malaysia DNV? Just curious to know the actual reason!
Hi everyone I have a question are their any parents raising teenagers or have raised what was it like ? safe ? what neighborhood did you live in and what solution for school did you find planning on leaving the US in may
I am intermittently mediocre with empathy. I just got all fired up with the behavior of a tourist and my wife suggested i was maybe a culture thing.
So, are there any cultures where leaving the door to an air conditioned cat cafe open is a reasonable thing to do? I am pretty sure this is a universally shit behavior?
Edit: I love the replies. People don't need to agree with me- I posted to broaden my view. But I love the people who can't or won't actually read or who want to troll showing their dumb faces so they can be blocked. About 6 more knuckleheads I'll never hear from again! :)
EDIT 2: omg probably 20 blocked now! Let's go chums, somebody else make a comment about my wife/sex/value as a human! My block button is all warmed up and deleting you now means I don't need to do it later!
this would be under the "everything else"....not sure if I will be able to express this clearly... still... I am trying to understand the practice of some thai folks that have no qualms about taking ... what I consider to be... advantage of tourists ... I wonder if I would do the same... considering the income differences.. and the travel to my country to enjoy the inexpensive labor and prices.. I think of the word... exploiting... and not sure if this is correct... please to help me to come to terms with this... I am not going to get into specifics.. thank you..
Thai partner stole 70000 baht from me, what would the police do in this circumstance?
I gave him the money, to help pay for a business which didn’t plan out. He kept the money, as we were looking for other options and said he’ll keep it there to pay, so we didn’t get bank charges sending it back & forth.
No business plans out, im asking for the money back , many excuses to not repay etc. turns out he’s gambled and smoked all the money away.
He’s begged me not to go to the police, I’ve accepted I will not get the money back and he has no way of paying it back. I feel also like the police would not help as it’s his word against mine, not a direct theft. But I also feel foolish as he’s essentially getting off free? Would he be forced to repay, or prison? Or would they not care?
P.S I also already know I’m a prize idiot for trusting him.
I have a question for the expats living in Thailand? From my observation and experience, is it common for wives to basically disregard their husbands, and carry on almost a single life? But still act as married? I have noticed Thai men who seem to always be waiting for their wives? I have also had this happen to me, although I am not married, or in a relationship! I am not suggesting anything is going on, but I was wondering why any man would bother, as it seemed he is really single? Please just constructive feedback, if possible?
