My question: I will soon be applying for a Non O-A. 71 and intend on retiring in CM. I expect my house here will sell in July but have NOT purchased my one-way airfare so my application to the thai consulate would not have travel or hotel info yet. Anybody know if that will cause automatic denial? Trying to get this done before I lose my mailing address.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual plans to apply for a Non O-A visa to retire in Chiang Mai and is concerned about not having travel and hotel information for the visa application since they haven't purchased their one-way ticket yet. Community members advise contacting the specific Thai consulate for guidance on whether the lack of travel or lodging proof will lead to automatic denial.

Are you using the thai consulate in New York City? Call them, they answer the phone (although they're NOT the most friendly people in the world to deal with).

Marty lives in Arizona. I encourage him to use the Los Angeles Thai Consulate. He can email them and ask the question.

And what did the thai consulate you're applying at tell you when you told them you haven't gotten proof of travel or lodging yet?

Where will you apply for your non imm o-a? I would suggest that you contact that specific embassy/Consulate.
