, if you are using eExtensioin, please contact to VFS directly. This group doesn't support applications for commercial services (i.e, eExtension) even under the Thai government.

As you are already on an extension, you should be able to apply for 1-year extension based on being married to a Thai from employment (changing the reason for an extension). You don't have to apply for an initial Non-O again.

You might or might not need a letter from your employer they agree to change the reason for an extension. Go to your local immigration office to check details (confirm that they would allow you to do it), and get the latest requirements for a new extension.

Then talk with your employer.

We sincerely hope your friend gets better well soon. But Usually, this group doesn't do a "post for a friend" as people cannot provide enough correct information in most cases.

So here are some facts related to the situation.

- No fine for him for not being able to be back to Thailand within his current extension and re-entry stamp

- He cannot "renew" <- apply for a new 1-year extension if he cannot return to Thailand within the existing stamp. He has to start the whole process again, from applying for an initial Non-O visa based on being married to a Thai national. He can apply for it in the UK before he travels back or may be able to apply for it inside Thailand at the local immigration office after entering Thailand on a visa attempt.

A law/regulation requires you to do it.

Practically, you may not have any chance to show/use TM30 if you travel to Thailand only for less than a visa-exempt period, when you don't do anything at the immigration office. Still, the chance is not zero that you could be asked when something police involved happens.

As you own the house, why not just do it online?

CW doesn't keep your passport for an extension based on retirement. You can do those all in one day, in whatever order suits you except the certificate of residence.

Book appointments online for each.

Q. Extension non-imm O (at new address)

-> Better to go to CW to get the latest requirements list.

Attached is general information for an extension based on being over 50. You will need signed copies of the landlord's bluebook and ID along with the lease agreement.

If asked, you will need 4 scenes of photos.

Q.90 day report (at new address)

-> You need these other than the original passport

- filled TM47 form

- TM30 receipt with Bangkok address

Unfortunately, a certificate of residence is out of the scope of this group. Please try to post on other Bangkok-related groups for details.

You will pay 200 baht for a residence certificate in Bangkok. You cannot get it on the spot, they will mail you and it takes around 2 weeks.

When you apply for an in-country Non-Immigrant visa, you will be into the under-review period, without any stamp on your passport. Your "go back to the office date" is stamped on the blue receipt. When you go back to the office on the directed day, you will get a visa and the first 90-day stamps inked into your passport, usually the issuing date (also the starting date of your first 90 days) is one or a few days before the day on the receipt.

The under-review period at CW is 15 days.

So the direct answer to your question is, no either is correct and you will know when you get the stamp.

You cannot travel outside Thailand during the under-review period. You can travel out from Thailand during the first 90 days, make sure to get a re-entry permit.

This is general information for a 30-day tourism extension. It's more like a hit-or-miss at the IT Square Laksi Plaza in Bangkok whether you would be asked for a TM30 receipt.
