My 60 day visa exempt expires Dec 30th. How early can I apply for the 30 day extension and anyone know opening times for xmas week at immigrstion office in BKK
Tried doing a search here but couldn't find anything definitive...
I am legally married to a Thai citizen and have a Thai marriage certificate.
1. Can I apply for the ‘marriage visa’ (Non-O) in the Immigration office in Bangkok on a 60 day visa-exempt stamp? Some websites mentioned that I have to start the Non-O Visa application in my home country, hence my confusion.
2. If it’s possible to start the process in Bangkok, which Immigration office in Bangkok should I go to?
Hello. I am European and entered Thailand with tourist visa 60 days on December 1st and I want to leave on February 2. I need to extend it for 3 days. I am staying in BKK. Please can you advise where I should do it? If I can do it online? What do I need? Any other advice for that? Thanks a lot
Is it possible to do "Retirement" type O Extension, 90 day Report, and Residence Cert. in one CW Bangkok IO visit?
Never tried before and wondering if Extension, then 90 Day, then Res. Cert. is the best sequence order.
Not sure about CW Extension timeline. If I have to give up my passport and wait a few days or a week for the "under consideration" time and the new Extension to be stamped into my passport then this plan would not be possible.
Alternatively, could I do the 90 day and Residence Cert. in and hour or so . ..and then when I have those finished, submit the Extension application and passport for consideration. ....and wait up to a week for the Extension stamped passport to be ready for pickup?
Doing a group search I found what I hope is a complete list of all the required docs for each step I need for a new address (old Extension was with Jomtien IO) with new TM30 and new rental agreement :

Do the lists above include all the required documents ?
Old Jomtien Extension of stay expires 2 August.
10 July would be 90 days from last entry at BKK airport from outside Thailand.
Hello! I come to Thailand without a visa Prior and got 30days visa stamp upon arrival, and now the visa is about to expire in 3 days but i would like to stay in Thailand for alittle more for the Loy Krathong. So i was wondering if I can do visa extention? I havnt done that before, and eventuelt what I need for it? What paper? And which immigration office (I stay in Bangkok)? And what do I need to know. Or do i need to do visa run? And eventuelt how people do the visa run here in Thailand? Usually when I stayed in Korea, i just do visa run to Thailand/Japan for a few days, but here when i try to look up there is more different than what I am used to, as there is all sort of bus/train to cambodia and Laos.
I am living/ working in Thailand on a non-o volunteer visa (with a Thai NGO in Bangkok). It expires end of July but I am thinking of renewing it next week. I am hesitant however…
Previously I always renewed it on the last possible day, because I felt they extended it from that moment onwards - and I didn’t want to loose any days I still had left.
I have heard this might not be true…
Would love to hear what other people have experienced specifically in the context of the volunteer visa extension at the Chaengwattana Immigration office.
Thank you 🙏
Update: I was able to extend my visa early, but need to report back in 20 days - when coincidentally my original visa would expire. I might loose 20 days from my original visa then. Will keep you updated.
Update 2: I did not loose days on my old visa even if I extended earlier (I did however try to gently raise this concern with the immigration staff). 🙂 they extended it from the day that my last visa expired (today). So it expires now on October 25th.
Question relating to 60-day extension based on visiting family in Bangkok.
1. Which of the two immigration offices carry out this function and is it possible/necessary to book an appointment online?
2. What documents are required for the application? I do understand that offices operate on different criteria and that I'm advised to pick up the list beforehand, but I'm just preparing now and would appreciate advice from anyone who has done this recently.
3. Does the extension run from the expiry of my current Non O based on marriage, or from the date of application?
