I opened my BKK bank account a few years ago when I was on a non-o retirement visa. Switched to the DTV last July. Last December my BKK bank card expired. Went into my branch, showed them my passport which they photocopied, including a few entry stamps saying "DTV". They had to send everything to head office and a week later I went back and picked up my new debit card. No issues at all being on a DTV in my scenario.

Anonymous participant 590 Yeah, I switched to a DTV back in July last year. It was scanning incorrectly back then but luckily I caught it. The fact that they haven't fixed this in a year says a lot. They should either fix it or remove that option. I wonder why they haven't? 😉

No. My bank card expired and they replaced it no problem even though I'm on a DTV. They looked at my passport as well so they definitely knew.

I was approved within a couple of hours by the Vancouver consulate end of last July. For workcation. Just had to provide my last Tangerine bank statement.
