Wonder if someone can advise me. I am on a "O" visa my passport expires early next year, I'm shortly returning to the UK for a holiday, if I renew my passport in the UK, will I have a problem at BKK airport when I return even if I have my old passport with my visa in it ?

Thai Bank Account/O Visa

Ok, this seems to be circular logic and obviously I am missing something here.

By my reading we cannot apply for an O Visa without having the requisite amount confirmed deposited in a Thai bank account. BUT, we cannot open a Thai bank account without having at least an O Visa first?

How do we get around this conundrum?

No O Visa

Do I need to print off the visa I received from the Thai Embassy via email and have it to hand when I arrive in BKK next month?

TIA

Hi everyone,

I applied for a 90 days O visa on January 23 at the Thai Embassy Belgium. I got a receipt the same day, 80 euros.

My flight will be February 20. If I don't get my visa what is the best way I can do? Explain to Immigration when I get there?

Thanks for your help or suggestions.

Im currently on an ED visa and my question is.

Can I convert my ED visa to an "O" visa ?

I am over 50 and have the 800K funds already in a Thai bank for the last 4 months.

Is it a simple process i can do myself?

Howdy, have any of you gentlemen who may have had some legal problems had trouble applying for an O visa in your home country ? I have a single DUI that I got about 5 years ago. No other negative history. Thoughts ?

I applied for an O visa, 60-90 days. On the application I put my arrival and leaving dates: 63 days. Arrival 5 Jan, leaving 8 March. The visa was approved. But it says Valid From 14 November. Valid Until 11 Feb. These dates do not match my trip dates. This is my first O visa application. What does this mean? Do I present this approved visa to immigration on arrival at BKK? Do I present this visa as proof of travel to my airline if asked? Thanks for any help with understanding this!
