where do i do the 90 day declaration for DTV?

Just after a little confirmation regarding TM30. I arrived in Thailand yesterday (29th of October) on a 90 day O visa with the intention of applying for my full retirement visa. I just want to clarify if I still need to report to immigration to complete a TM30 within a certain period of arriving even though my address is exactly the same as what I applied with for on the 90 day visa on the Thai embassy portal. I’m just concerned as I don’t want to risk anything but I’ve not been feeling great after a very long journey and zero sleep and the prospect of another long drive to the nearest immigration office.

When you apply for an O visa inside Thailand to eventually get the 12 month extension (based on retirement), at what point does the 800k bht need to go into your bank account?

Hi all! I’m after a little bit of clarification regarding my visa. I‘m in the UK atm and applied for the 90 day retirement O visa which has just been approved. However, on the application I did I said my travel date would be 28th of October so therefore wanted 90 days from there but on the email it says visa valid from 28th of September to 28th of December. Does this mean they made a mistake or is that the window in which I have to use it and the 90 days start from the day I land back in Thailand?

Currently on a O visa, married to a Thai National till February 2025.

Can I get a re entry permit, leave and apply for the DTV in a neighbouring country like Laos and if successful, enter on the DTV then go to Thai immigration to cancel my O visa?

I’d get the re entry permit as I don’t want to loose my O visa if rejected for the DTV.

What would be the way to stay in thailand the longest if you gave up your "O" visa? Thinking of gambling with my 800K and cashing out and taking the 10% profit to exchange for the dollar.

I am a resident in Chiang Mai and currently hold an O visa, which allows for a single entry. Will be taking a holiday in Lao, exiting Thailand by land near Nan, and returning at the same crossing. Which would be more convenient (time): applying for a SE stamp at Chiang Mai IMO before the trip, or when returning from Lao to the Thai border? Has anyone experienced this at land crossings? A banking question. Has anyone gotten or does anyone have a non-resident foreigner bank account.

I’m on a 90 day O visa foreigner pursuing long term stay or maybe residency in Thailand.

Can you use a virtual address for a non- resident foreigner account? I’m exploring the country right now and have read businesses in Thailand can have virtual addresses for bank accounts.

My thought is any little “tid bit” you can get done helps you get more established.

I plan to move to Thailand mid August on an O visa and understand that to open a bank account I will need a rental agreement.

Can you please advise if this needs to be a 12 month agreement, or a six month rental will suffice?
