TLDR : Answer Summary
To complete the 90-day check-in for your DTV in Bangkok, you have several options. You can go to the immigration office with your passport, a copy of your ID page and visa stamp, and fill out the 90-day report form. Alternatively, if you have a stable address for more than a month, you can submit the report via registered mail for a fee of 70 baht. It's advised to do this 14-15 days before the due date to avoid queues. There is some confusion regarding whether one needs to check in if they remain in Thailand for less than 90 consecutive days or if a TM30 form suffices.

In honesty, in 9 years I've been on and off Thailand not once I had to submit a TM30, including several times going to chaengwattana and extending the visa with the visa officer.

Are you the author of the pic? If so, it seems that you kinda want to and don't want to do the TM-30.

i don't think the tm30 is the DTV 90-day check in?

Anonymer Teilnehmer Mixing up things here ! If you move to a Condo i.e. than your Landlord has to report you to the immigration within 24hrs with the TM30 formular.

For the 90 day report you have to fill out the TM47. Sometimes, the officers ask you about the TM30. So the best is, you have a copy of the TM30 available as they compare the Address on the TM30 sheet with the address you filled in on the TM47 form.

As far i got my information with my DTV, there's no need of checking with immigration after 90days, as it is with the non-immigrant Visa. When entered Thailand i got a stamp valid 180 days, which i allowed to stay without any further do.

@René ******
you need to inform them of your address by checking in every 90 days

DTV is a tourist kind of Visa. Has nothing to do with a NON-O. If you stay in TH for 90 days,

w/o leaving the country, you have to do the 90 day report !

you need to double check this - the stamp doesn't mean anything about requirements to check in. What is your source?
René *******
Anonymer Teilnehmer yes, i checked it again and only now found out every foreigner stays longer than 90days in Thailand has to report by the immigration. Unfortunately it’s nowhere mentioned when applying the DTV, nor when it was approved. I’m afraid many people doing it first time will trap in this too.

Anonymer Teilnehmer i checked the requirements of my applications. And information on official website ftom Thai embassy in my country. Says nothing about it. My source?

@René ******
you need to do the 90 day report, same as everyone else. it doesnt matter at all what country you are from.

We did ours last week. Went to Division 1 with our passport, TM30 and they will give you a form to fill out. You line up (give yourself up to 2 hours if you get there at 830am) and they will stamp your 90 day check in. Cost nothing to do.

One question what if i never stay in Thai for more than 90days ? Does it mean I dont need to report. Just TM30 is enough?
Biff *******
@Kaye *****
You would be reporting the fact that you have been in the country for 90 consecutive days. So if you weren’t, you wouldn’t.
Paul ********
@Kaye *****
Yes, 90 day reports require a 90 day stay.

There's a 90 day check in? Do I have tl be in Thailand for 90 consecutive days tk check in? What if I wasnin Thailand for 6 months, exited and reentered?
Roman *************
@Roberto ***
If you leave Thailand before staying 90 consecutive days you don’t need to do the report. Once you arrive in Thailand again the clock starts again.

If you have a stable adresss for more than 1 month after the 90 day report, just do it by registered paper mail at post office. Costs 70 baht with ems tracking, process and address to send is in Bangkok immigration website about 90 day report, have to do it 14-15 days before the 90 days and you will avoid queue ;)

I heard you can do it online ?
Romain ****
Participant(e) anonyme not the first time. First time of every entry in person or third person or paper registered mail, then online. If you exit and re enter, you have again to do it in person or paper mail. The thing to consider is the paper mail thing will be returned within one month to the registered address so it can be used only of stable. If not (like me, traveling around in hotels) you need to do in person or through agent

The return of the 90-day notification is very hard to pick as far as time taken is concerned. I've being doing it this way for years, as the online system can flunk at times I don't trust it, but I've had the notification back in as little as seven days and at the other almost six weeks, so it all depends how busy they are. I always take a photo of the completed TM47 form, and the envelope with the EMS sticker and the dated receipt for postage. I've never had a problem, but you never know! There's always that first time when someone wants to see the 90-day report
