Hello guys! Can I change from Non-B to Non-O without leaving Thailand?

I'm currently on a Non-B visa but would like to resign from my job and switch to a Non-O (marriage) visa since I'm getting married to a Thai national. Does anyone know if it's possible to do this within Thailand, or would I need to leave and apply from abroad?

Also, if anyone has gone through this process recently, I'd appreciate any advice on the required documents and timeline. Thanks in advance!

For Vientiane, I understand we need to pay the application fee at a designated agent. How does payment process work there? Do I need to pay before submitting application? Any info is much appreciated. Thank you.

DEPENDENCY VISA ADVICE

Hi, I hope some of you can help. I have just applied for a dependency following my husband who is a teacher here. I was told to come back to receive my stamp in 3 weeks, once it has been processed.

A few days later the visa assistant who is helping me has said that I may only be a 3 month visa I receive. That I would then have to put through all the same paperwork again to apply for a 1 year visa.

I am just unfamiliar with this. Can anyone tell why this would be?

Uk male. 64 years old. Semi-retired. Have necessary funds in bank. Have 2 part-time jobs for Thai companies in UK but combined salaries only £500 per month. Easy enough to get contracts of employment. Anyone know if the size of salary is taken into consideration when applying for DTV. Thank you

What is the longest lag time allowed between being granted a 90 Day Non O Visa in your home country, and actually arriving in Thailand, receiving your non-o passport stamp, and beginning your 90 Days of paradise? I was told u actually also have 90 days from day of visa approval to arrive and still be valid for 90 days in Thailand.

During this past week, several Thai Embassies and Consulates around the world have officially announced and posted Notices that they will go to the Thai E-Visa website [members only]/ system to accept Thai E-Visa applications, process, and issue Thai E-Visas starting on the New Year, 01 January 2025.

Generally, they will stop accepting in-person visa application submissions and stop issuing Thai Visa Stickers on Christmas Eve, 24 December 2024, with a few Thai Embassies/Consulates stopping before that on 20 December 2024 or earlier. At Taipei, they will stop on 27 December 2024.

Do note the processing times with Thai E-Visa are longer than before with many announcements stating 10–15 working days to process and issue Thai E-Visas.

Also, some Thai Embassies/Consulates will NOT be accepting card payments via the Thai E-Visa website, but will instead be accepting payments in Cash after submitting an Thai E-Visa application via the website.

Those Thai Embassies/Consulates that have announced this different method of payment (Cash) are: Vientiane, Savannakhet, Yangon, India, Brunei, Pakistan, Tel Aviv, Jordan, others....

These announcements are in line with the stated goal of the Thai Government to change all 94 Thai Embassies/Consulates around the world to the Thai E-Visa website system by December 2024.

To the helpful, concise, informative people in this group who don't just make stuff up or post half truths or misinformation, thank you very, very much, you were a big help. Sorry for anonymity, but it's for legal reasons. Thai embassy Hanoi for the win! 4 days processing time.
