Hello all šŸ‘‹

I was wondering if someone can help me in an issue I am having please.

When applying online in Ho Chi Minh for a DTV, as a digital nomad who works at a company (employee):

Regarding the Financial evidence section (amount of no less than 500,000 THB, etc.) - can I provide the investments (tradable securities) as the 500,000 THB? Or does it have to be my Current Accounts that have this amount?

Or in other words, why is asked in this section exactly? As I know I have to provide 6 months of my bank transactions as well.

Any advice would help.

Thanks a lot in advance šŸ™šŸ¤—

UPDATE: APPROVED!

Yesterday I submitted application for workation DTV at HCMC. The form by default does not have an upload section for all the docs rumored to be needed (letter of permission, business registration), so rather than combining lots docs into one, I just submitted only what was asked for and hopefully they reach out for the additional ones.

- bank statement

- portfolio

- proof of current location (I took a photo of entry stamp at Danang)

- photo

Crossing fingers!!!

Hi Everyone,

Edit Post

Finally got a response from the Thai Embassy in Vientiane. Confirmed that they required 3 months of bank statement and each month is required to be over 500K

***

I'm going to apply for a DTV visa under Soft Power doing the Muay Thai courses at Thai Embassy in Vientiane

Looking for advices on the financial evidence since it is not clear on their website. I already emailed to the embassy and contacted them on social media but haven't received any responses

1. How many months of the bank statements should be submitted? 3 months or 6 months?

2. Does it require to show the minimum of 500,000 THB at the ending balance of every months or the last ending balance with amount of 500,000++ THB is acceptable?

Thank you so much!

DTV in Taipei for Remote Worker - approved!

I went yesterday to the Thai consulate in Taipei. Arrived around 9.30am. I had 4 people in front of me applying for the DTV and had to wait a while til my turn. It seemed like they spoke to everyone for 20 - 30 min.

When it was finally my turn, luckily it went quick, she looked through all my papers.

I recommend you have a conversion app open on your phone as she asked me to convert the amounts on my bank statements into THB and write it down.

This is exactly what I provided:

1. Passport

2. Visa application form from their website

3. Recent color photo with white background 3,5 x 4,5cm

4. Financial evidence of more than 500k THB on personal bank account (your name must be visible)

5. Letter of Employment (written by myself in my company name and signed by me)

6. Documents of my LLC formation in the US - she checked if my name is on it.

7. Letter from the IRS with my EIN - again she looked for my name on it

8. Freelance work contract with my main client, stating I can work remotely and my client lives outside of Thailand

9. Recent invoices I have sent to clients from the past few months

10. Transactions of my business bank account from the past few months, matching the recent invoices as incoming payments

11. Print out of my website, showcasing my freelance services.

I'm fully aware that I probably delivered more than asked on the website and I'm so glad I did.

She took all my papers and said come back at 3.30pm. I went back in the afternoon to hear it was approved, paid the 11k TWD in cash, and today I returned to pick up my passport with the DTV. Needless to say, I'm soooo happy!

Thanks to this group for all the advice, it helped me a lot to prepare for this.

I highly recommend to bring more than suggested on the website. I talked with 2 other people and they were also asked to show bank transactions of incoming payments and invoices or paystubs. Definitely bring some along if you apply in the workation category.

If you want to apply in person in Taipei, hurry up as they switch mid November to evisa.

Good luck everyone! Thailand, here I come šŸ‡¹šŸ‡

Well, itā€™s been a bit of a journey, but today I got my Long Term Residency permit from the Kingdom of Thailand. I still need to do annual reporting (unless I leave the country), and I will have to go in when my passport expires in a couple of years, but basically other than housekeeping, I have 10 years of not having to deal with the immigration department. Have to say, that makes all the paperwork and effort worth it šŸ˜Ž

Destination Thailand Visa

Hi Everyone, Im currently applying for my DTV visa and was looking for some help if anyones in a similar case to me.

1. In regards to financial evidence, am I able to provide a invesment account statement?. I use wealthsimple and have monthly statements. I Have they money but its not liquid in my regular bank account as I invest it.

2. In regards to "Employment contract or employment certificate in their country or professional portfolio showcasing digital nomad, remote worker, foreign talent or freelancer status" I currently run a bunch of youtube channels and thats my job. Is there any other youtubers in here who have filled this out?

Youtube doesnt give contracts as we are essentially freelancers and are paid through Google adsense. However, I do have sponsorship contracts with companies. If anyone can help, I will love you forever.

Thanks in advance!

Just got my DTV approved! From Canberra, Australia. Approval email just came in at 11pm. Took 4 business days total. Went through the Medical treatment route.

For financial evidence I submitted a 'Proof of Balance' letter from my bank. It wasn't a bank statement with a transaction history, it literally just says on their bank letterhead, my name, address, bank account details, and current available balance.

For medical treatment evidence I went to the Bangkok Hospital last month for my chronic condition and saw a specialist as an outpatient. I told him about my condition and he said he can treat me. I asked him to write a letter for the Visa. He wrote a letter saying my diagnosis and how I will need treatment for at least 5 years and he believes I would be best treated in Thailand instead of Australia due to my symptoms not improving as much here. They gave me an appointment slip for my next appointment on 1/11.

When I lodged the application with all this information, 3 business days later the Thai Embassy requested a proper letter of confirmation for my next appointment. I thought they missed the appointment slip so I uploaded it again. They rejected it again so I figured it wasn't enough. I called Bangkok Hospital and got them to do me an official letter of confirmation and forwarded that on. Next business day I got my approval! Surprised to see it came in at 11pm.

I input my arrival date on the visa as 1/11 even though my appointment letter of confirmation from the hospital says it's 24/11 (I changed it). So it's been approved 1 month prior to my actual next appointment.

Hope this helps anyone in the same boat!

For those of you applying for the E-visa, how are you uploading multiple bank statements under the "financial evidence" section? I can only upload one document per section. TIA.

hey all ! going to apply soon, just gathering all the documentation needed. Two questions in regards to two of them! (as i can't get ahold of anyone from the Embassy, i thought I'd give it a shot here):

* financial evidence (500,000 TBH) --> does it need to be sitting in ONE bank account? i have my $ scattered across different accounts, i just wonder if i can submit a few which will end up <500,000...?

* Employment contract - I have my own company (sole proprietorship) and i have one contract with my client. should i submit the contract I signed with my client or submit a slip from the city tax office i am a registered company and i pay taxes?

thanks in advance!

For DTV Visa

Does an applicant need to hold 500,000 THB for 3 months or 6 months for the financial evidence? Or recent savings is allowed? (I mean just newly saving 500,000 baht in new bank account and run for Bank statement is allowed?)
