Munich Consulate DTV

Any RECENT experiences with DTV approval in Munich? Status 'pending approval' since over a week now.

It was just 2 days until further documents were requested, 2 days later to pending approval...now still pending.

Wondering if anyone has the similar experiences currently with the consulate in Munich. 🙏🏻

Hi everyone! Approved within 48 hours in Manilla 😁🙌 I plan to stay here for a while to escape the burning season in Chiang Mai, because it's pretty terrible at the moment.

My question is, can I reassign the 500K THB now that I have the approval e-mail from the visa office? Or do I need to keep it in my personal account and have it in there when I land in Chiang Mai? Do they ever ask at the border, or am I all clear now? Thanks!

No guessing please :)

If awaiting approval post request for documents and one's flight date is drawing near, is it appropriate/acceptable/advisable to send a polite inquiry or not?

Hi everyone,

last Friday I applied for the DTV in an EU embassy and I'm waiting the response, now. My apply is for the Muay Thai soft power, I got all the documents in place, so I think there should not be much issues for that.

My only doubt is about the part where you had to specify your current job and Employer company name and salary range... Do you think they may arise questions that leads to rejection, if proved that I will keep a remote income with a non-Thai company, even if I'm willing to go there for Muay Thai?

Just for clarification, I could not apply for the remote work option as my company does not provide such a contract yet, even tho I am allowed by my boss to work from everywhere I want.

Thanks all

UPDATE: I just got approved, even without cover letter, just with the minimum 500k thb on my bank account 🙂

Thanks all again

DTV Approved.

After reading so many rejections I was getting worried but approval received. I made sure to provide all documents and clearly answer any questions they had. If you legitimately fit the criteria, the process is simple.

Timeline for reference:

March 13: DTV application submitted workcation (Malaysia)

March 18: Email received requesting for more documents:

• All passport pages

• Proof of prolonged residence in Thailand for at least 6 months

• Proof of salary slip/monthly income for the last 6 months.

• A copy of the company's registration/business license

• A professional portfolio and job presentation.

• Explain your job and position, and how it relates to DTV and Digital Nomads or Remote worker.

March 23: Approval
