Hi
@Peter **********
- we’re just in the final stages of submitting our application for an OA Visa from London and have a question you may be able to help with please? On the “Supporting Documents “ list item 7 States “Proof of the permanent residence in the country where the application is submitted” Is this a second copy of our passport or is it birth certificate or something else? A bit confused? Thanks so much. Sue

- we live in Khon Kaen and are on our second year of the OA visa we got from London. The advice Tod gives has been invaluable and we keep an eye on changes and adjustments. Enjoy your time in Thailand.

This is very interesting to many of us. We rent a house and the owner has given us permission to set up the online TM30 reporting for when friends visit. We are in Khon Kaen and the Immigration Office here is very helpful.

We did it in the UK from income earned in the UK. If you’re applying in UK the money or income can be in UK. We had income from property and send certified copies of bank statements with the rental income highlighted.

Thank you so much. Going tomorrow for our 90 day report. Wouldn’t have noticed it. Thanks.

Last time we went we overshot twice and had to do two U turns!!!!

It's an excellent immigration office. We've done lots of 90 day reports and TM 30 too and have never waited longer than 10 mins. You hear some stories of long waits at other cities but so far KK has been excellent.

We got ours last year from UK - just said we were retired and got the medical certificate signed by our doctor and it cost £25 each. A very basic set of medical questions. Hope it goes well.

Arrived back in Thailand yesterday a day before the last entry date and got stamped in for another year 🎉🎉🎉 so basically if you time it right you get two years from a one year visa. Lookout for me in 11 months asking how you do an extension!!!

Louise my husband and I got our OA Visa from London last September. We are heading back to Thailand tomorrow and arrive a day before it expires. Hence we will get two years, minus one day, out of a year Visa. Also we did ours based on income not a lump sum. It was all pretty straightforward and like many others have said the doctors cert was a hoot!! £25 for saying basically we weren’t hanging with anything!!! I think you’d be much better getting things done over there. Hope it goes well.
