I entered Thailand yesterday for the first time with DTV at DMK. I received the DTV soft power with Arun Thai cooking in Hanoi. I gave the IO my passport and printed out DTV e visa. No questions asked. Stamped me in for 180 days.
Thanks for all the useful posts and comments from this group.
I need urgent advice here : this is my 3rd day in Bangkok, my realtor agent promised to take care of my biz ; but as soon as I realized that he tried to rush me into an expensive rental contract, I decided to pull out. I need to take care of the following steps : 🙏🙏
1) where may I report my hotel address ?
can I rely on my hotel to do this for me ?
2) how and where may I extend my Non-O (3-month) visa into an annual visa, so that my visa will be good for a year and I can renew it a year later ?
what is the official name of this type of visa ?
3) what banks do you recommend to open an account with ?
4) please recommend a trustworth realtor agent you have dealt with before for a rental.
(prefer a single room with co-work space、gym、pool、sauna and/or steaming room、within 10-minute walk from subway station, budget 14k-17k baht)
I understand that the 90 day reporting must be done in person for the very first time, however, in my situation I travel outside of Thailand every couple of months which resets my 90 days and therefore I will never have to go to immigration to report in person. Any issues with this, i.e. never completing the first reporting at an immigration office in person? TIA
I got few questions. So today my dtv got approved in Hanoi. And I already had return ticket on 30th October .
1. can I reschedule and change return ticket to earlier date? It says my visa valid from 24 October but I did tell them that my flight return ticket is on 30th October
2. what is the process for dtv holder when I enter immigration ? What do I need to do or bring
3. what is the rules once I am in the country as dtv holder? Can someone explain the 90 days report and 180 days . Like what would you recommend me to do
I have a Dtv visa and been living in TH for the last year on a yearly rental contract in 1 place. So, 90 day reports are easy to deal with.
Question:
Now I am going through TH by bicycle, staying alway's at different guesthouses/hotels/places along my way.
- How to do the tm30 and when? ( I hear the times to do are changed)
-Do I need to check-in at emigration where I continue to cycle AFTER a border run and give the 'place of stay' to them before I continue again? ( this was needed in Kanchanaburi based on a year- house contract)
Hello everyone! I just would like to know how the DTV works, I got it is for 180 days, but didnt understand really well.
I got the DTV and got 180 days in the first arrival, stayed for a month and did a trip to Japan, when I cameback I got a new stamp with more 180 days.
I saw before it would need to leave the country every 180 days, but if everytime I go travel abroad I get new 180 days, how it works, will I need to renew something at immigration?
Once you have your Non O, do you continue to need a one year condo contract to comply with immigration and banking requirements? In the early years, I wish to move around the Land of Smiles to find my perfect forever location.
Hi, can someone share what are the documents and checks one needs to go through once the DTV has been approved and one has entered Thailand? Reports, renewals, etc. In addition, please share your experience regarding continued checking of initial visa requirements: bank funds, proof of freelancer status/ company ownership, etc. Thanks for sharing the knowledge!
