Quick question folks! filling out our OA visa application form here in the UK and not sure what this section means:- Evidence substaintiating your purpose of visit FOR NON-IMMIGRANT OR LONG STAY ONLY. Any ideas anyone!!!!

Also with regards to the health certificate does it have to be signed by the GP within 3 months or does the examination have to be within 3 months? thanks folks!!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the specific requirements for the 'purpose of visit' section on the OA visa application and seeks clarification on the health certificate's timing, specifically if the doctor's examination must be recent. Responders clarified that 'purpose of visit' can simply state retirement, and confirmed that both the examination and the issuance of the health certificate must occur within three months prior to the application submission.

For the GP. This has to be done within 3 months of your application. Same as the bank and police record.

Purpose of visit is retirement, keep it simple.

We got ours last year from UK - just said we were retired and got the medical certificate signed by our doctor and it cost £25 each. A very basic set of medical questions. Hope it goes well.

This is from the website: Medical Record proving applicant has never been infected with contagious disease with validity at least 3 months. I would say the examnination have to be within 3 months.
