Many thanks to everyone for the advice and support in our applications for an OA Visa from the Thai Embassy in London, especially with the new rules and requirements. We are just waiting for our Passports to be returned with our Visas.
However, we noticed a strange new phrase on the description of the OA Visa. (See photo, item 12) . . .
“The holder of OA Visa is allowed to stay in Thailand for one year from the date of First entry and is also able to apply for an extension of stay afterwards”.
My query Tod Daniels, Robert Lagas & Ron Angel is that our last OA Visa actually lasted us two years, less a day, as we entered back into Thailand a day before the Visa expiry date. Hence we have managed to be in Thailand two years on a one year Visa. Bearing in mind the quotation from the website does it look like this has changed and you will only get one year from First entry rather than a year from Last entry before the Visa expiry date?
Thanks so much for all your help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry concerns the OA Visa application process and its validity duration as stated by the Thai Embassy in London. The user is confused about whether they can still stay in Thailand for two years on a one-year OA Visa by re-entering just before the visa expiration, as they did previously. Community comments clarify that the information on the Embassy's website may be misleading and affirm that with proper planning and a re-entry permit, it is still possible to extend the stay to two years.

My understanding is the RE-ENTRY very near that first expiration date is the needed to gain the 2nd year. (And remember to get a re entry permit if you plan to exit and return that second year.)
