Residency certificate lasts 30 days after it is issued.

Takes about 3 weeks to arrive if you get it posted or pay 500 bath for next day.

Mine have always been dated a day or two before I received them. Chiang Mai

Well Thailand ranks 9 in the world according to this and USA 38 so you know what I'm saying!!

From all my experiences with health care around the world Thailand is fantastic! USA is shit unless you are rich as!!

You can create an account and apply for a Non O visa for the purpose of retirement, then once you have a 90 day visa, opening a bank account is much easier when you arrive.
