Just had my 90 day Visa approved online at the Thai Embassy London. Online form was very simple and the cost was £60.00. It did take two weeks to approve though. Will having this make it easier to open a bank account and what other supporting documents would I need?
Now that Thailand is making it hard to get a bank account for retirement purposes, how does one go about getting a retirement visa? It is my understanding that I will at least need to show I have an active account for at least 3 months before applying for a retirement visa USA or marriage visa.
Currently I come in and out of country every 2-3 months because I still work in Japan. I am also hearing I will not be able to do this anymore.
As a DTV holder has anyone successfully purchased Motorbike Insurance? I’m told that as it is still categorised as a “Tourist Visa” that Insurance companies may not insure!🙏👍 also I’ve only held my Thai Motorbike License for less than one year.
Has anyone successfully obtained a residency certificate in Bangkok without completing the 90-day check? I need it to register a car, but I haven’t been in Thailand long enough to meet the 90-day reporting requirement.
If anyone has experience with this or knows of a visa agent who can handle the process, I’d appreciate any recommendations.
Ok so I am looking to get a residency certificate to buy a bike and the immigration center I went to asked me for the usual stuff (tm30, passport, photo) but also for all my dtv docs, meaning bank statements and Muay Thai course. Problem is I am in an island in the south and my Muay Thai course is in the North. What to do?
I just did my first 90day report, but realize now that because I did it 8 days before 90days, now I am supposed to do it again on April 15th, while my DTV stamp expires April 23rd.
So it seems it would have been better to do it exactly at 90 days to stay the maximum days while only 90 day reporting 1 time.
Online reporting was rejected so I went in person. I am not sure if I will be accepted in the future.
Can I get a residency certificate if I have a DTV visa? I have my DTV already and I'd like to purchase a bike, but apparently I need a residency certificate to register the bike once purchased.
