We are going to be driving from Chiang Mai to Mae Sai, passing Chiang Rai and returning the next day.

It's a beautiful area with great weather right now, though the smoke is starting a bit.

Just want to make sure you're not going with the intention of trying to do a border bounce at Myanmar since the borders with Myanmar are closed to foreigners.

there's some surprisingly cute cafes along the road that goes between Doi Thung along the Myanmar border towards Mae Sai. Hope you have a good trip!
