Do any of you carry FEHB Anthem/BCBS? Bangkok Hospitals are contracted to them. If yes, would like to hear your experiences.

Is the best healthcare found in Bangkok? I am looking for destinations for people who are concerned about having access to high level emergency services. Does anyone know if there is high quality care in Ubon? If anyone knows how emergency medical care is given to Farang, it would be especially valuable to hear from you. As in, do emergency operators usually speak English? Thank you!

Hi again folks...

Firstly, I apologise if my question is too far off topic...

I have been asked by my dear next door neighbour in Ireland (he knows I lived in Thailand for many years) if I could advise him of where and how he could consult an Oncologist when he travels to BKK next Jan. or Feb. (He has a good one here but is run off his feet).

He is 75 and has recently been diagnosed with "Advanced stage 4 Prostate Cancer".

I would be very grateful for any advice..Thanking you.

This would fall under the "everything else" section of the group. I've been going to Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok for a pretty good while for psoriasis treatment. Medicine is Secukinumab/Cosentyx. Would other hospitals be less expensive than Bumrungrad for the med (as it's about $660/month from Bumrungrad)? Does anyone have a Dermatologist recommendation in Bangkok? Thanks in advance for any info!

I am in the USA now. I had a bad rotator cuff tear that looks like it will need surgery and therapy. With no insurance I want to go straight to BKK.

I have already been in and out of Thailand 5 times within a year. So I don’t get turned around at immigration and can stay full length of treatment I would like to apply for medical visa.

Every Thai embassy website asks for 2 things.

1. appointment letter with treatment details

2. Hospital / medical facility registration certificate

Every hospital wants to offer me an appointment slip and a letter with treatment details. Every hospital is also confused by the meaning of #2 above. I understand #2 to mean the certificate they get from government agency to be a medical facility.

Does anyone know what I need to submit? I’m in pain and the visa application already takes 10 days. Trying to get this right the first time. Thanks in advance.🙏🙏

Definitely in the "everything else" category: can anyone recommend a hospital or clinic in BKK for lipoma removal? I was quoted 45k by one hospital, was expecting something much less. Thanks

Hello, I just wondered if anyone could share any advice about the Test and Go, second PCR test (on day 5 or 6 after arrival into Thailand), in Bangkok please.

I tested negative on day 1 in Thailand, but as part of the Test and Go entry programme, I understand I need to take another PCR test on day 5 or 6.

I've contacted a number of hospitals on the government list (via the QR code from the pink quarantine form that I was given on arrival at BKK airport), but so far no one seems to be offering the service, or be able to help.

Has anyone else had any success / difficulty over the last few days with this please? I believe the rule as updated on Jan 7 (previously only an ATK was needed on day 6).

Many thanks in advance.
