Which pay monthly long term travel insurance are people using? Safety wings or Genki seem to come up best on searches.

Can anyone recommend which is better? Basic package for Safety wings comes out around £42 a month and Genki around £55 a month.

Does anyone have experience with either in terms of claim issues etc?

Thanks 🙏

Hello fellow DTVers,

Which health insurance company do you recommend for being in Thailand on DTV (up 6 months in a year not to hit tax residency) - and not spend fortune on it.

Edit - any experience with Safety Wing?

Cheers,

Piotr

Looking for reviews on nomad insurance. I'm looking at Genki and Safety Wing. Has anyone made a claim from Thailand?

I'm looking for health insurance that covers most of SEA as I would like to travel to other countries nearby. I hold a DTV, under 30 years old with no pre existing medical conditions. I see some insurers don't cover scooter/motorbike accidents but this is a must for me. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Who do you fellow New Zealander DTV folk use for insurance long-term over there?

My last (tourist trip) over there found me hospitalised with food poisoning after eating raw oysters in Songkhla and I'm pretty keen to not go through the expenses of anything like that without insurance again...

Are there affordable options with decent cover for medical and possibly personal belongings?

What kind of health insurance do you recommend for the DTV?

Heard axa is a god company.

I have a statutory health insurance in Germany, which I will cancel as soon as I go to thailand.

Insurance should only last for 5 years, which should reduce the price.

Thanks for advise.
