So far its harder to exit and renter on Ed visa , you also need to pay for a re entry permit but may be denid entry if you can't speak thai with the officers. So if you are a frequent traveller the DTV is the much better option.....and the DTV works out cheaper (without tax)

once the visa comes through why don’t you take an overnight bus from Bangkok, I thinks it’s only 12 hour drive to HCMC?

basically do not apply in savannakhet without an agent, high chance they wont approve anything

Note: Savannakhet make it extremely difficult to apply for normal people without an agent

Currently No (vietnam and london), As long as your had at least some in it 100-300k? over the laast 6 months with contant transcations. If it goes from 0-500k baht the day before with no transacations over the last 6 months, then they will probably reject it. I emailed HCMC and Hanoi recently and they said it fine
