TLDR : Answer Summary
The consensus in the community is that you should be able to obtain a new bank card from Krungsri without issues related to your DTV visa status. Users report having successfully acquired bank services on various visa types without complications. The process may involve some paperwork and a small fee, but there is little concern about account cancellation or additional insurance requirements.
Another option maybe: with kasikorn I can order a new card through the app. Came through within a week, and this way it has your name on it, as opposed to ‘privileged member’ 🤷♂️
I doubt it very much. I opened my Krungsri account when on a B visa with WP. I am on O visa now. They still issue me items that require a WP and not available on an O. :-) I have not updated any details with them in my home branch since visa change ie passport copies etc
Absolutely not. They’ll just copy your passport, ask you to sign a million documents, spend an hour of your time, charge you 400 baht, and give you a new card.
