I already have an account with krunsgri 

I need to get a new bank card but im now back in Thailand on DTV visa

Do you think if I go into branch to get a new bank card….they could limit try and cancel my account or even ask me to take out insurance?

I’ve had several cards with my Bangkok Bank account over the years. Never had anything longer than a single entry Tourist visa.

Getting a new bank account might be more tricky these days, but using the one you’ve got should be the same as it ever was.

Another option maybe: with kasikorn I can order a new card through the app. Came through within a week, and this way it has your name on it, as opposed to ‘privileged member’ 🤷‍♂️

I doubt it very much. I opened my Krungsri account when on a B visa with WP. I am on O visa now. They still issue me items that require a WP and not available on an O. :-) I have not updated any details with them in my home branch since visa change ie passport copies etc

Absolutely not. They’ll just copy your passport, ask you to sign a million documents, spend an hour of your time, charge you 400 baht, and give you a new card.
