I just received approval! Applied through Jakarta. 8 days total.
Quick question: do I need to physically go to the embassy in Jakarta before I can use the visa? They sent a pdf with the e-visa. I see no mention of needing to go in person and in the information it says: Airlines may ask for the details of this e-mail so they can carry out checks to allow you to board the plane.
It sounds good to go, however, I heard from a friend you must pick up the visa in Jakarta. Chatgpt says the same. Can someone confirm if it’s required? I’m currently in Bali.
My US passport book is filled, I only have 2 pages left, though it doesn’t expire for another 5 years. I made an appointment at the embassy in bkk to get it renewed with a 52 page. Which form do I print and take to the embassy, DS 82 or DS 11 .. im getting conflicting info online.
If my first application was cancelled for mysterious reasons, would it be wise to apply again at same embassy or different? And are the chances of rejection high if the previous application was cancelled?
What has been your experience if your application got rejected/cancelled before and you applied again?
Please forgive my ignorance but I notice a lot of these posts are regarding applications from embassies in countries. Is this a necessary step? I envisaged this could all be done remotely online without the need to physically go to an embassy. Apologies again if the answer is obvious and I just got confused.
Hi, I heard that some requirements are different from embassy to embassy, is that true? I have seen that some embassies require a 6 month bank statement of the 500k baht, others only the 500k baht without mentioning the 6 months history. And I think other things may vary as well?
P.S. I might have some Italian written docs (like company incorporation files, company tax returns etc.), do I have to "legally" translate them I guess? Even if I apply from Italian based embassies?
