When logging into the e-visa portal you are instructed to print out the visa. Please follow the instructions.

PRINT OUT the PDF they sent you <- that IS your visa

you really do not see the difference between walk in or send a passport to an embassy and applying online?

E-visa is not about printing or not.

A QR code is meant to be printed, and far better readable from paper.
