What’s happening with the DTV and new digital entry on May 1st?

Apperently you need to input an outbound flight? Obviously this shouldn’t really apply to DTV or those with work permits

TLDR : Answer Summary
Starting May 1st, there are new digital entry requirements in Thailand that all non-Thai citizens must follow when entering through air, land, or sea. Although there was confusion regarding the necessity of providing outbound flight information, comments clarify that this information is not mandatory. The digital form, known as TDAC, replaces the old paper form previously distributed on planes, and users suggest it will be easy to complete, even at the airport upon arrival. While DTV holders were initially concerned about how these changes apply to them, inputs from the community indicate that the form will accommodate all visa types, including DTV, without the strict need for outbound flight details.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be tdac.in.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

It is required for DTV as it is for other visas

A DTV is a tourist visa with a 6-month entry stamp. Why wouldn't the exit date apply?
Elías ****************
Participante anónimo 740 Can be extended for up to 1 year, but rather than that, it should apply because one is not sure if when will be the next exit. Could be a few days later, a few months later or even a full year later.

@Elías ***************
A non-O is a 12-month stamp, extendable forever. Shouldn't they be exempt from showing a exit date?
Elías ****************
Which is unlike "regular" tourists who MUST exit within 60 or 90 days.

So as a DTV holder pay tourism tax soon as well?
Barry ******
That's on hold indefinitely.

Maybe won't happen. Trump tariff scare seems to be the new covid19 plandemic .

@Kai ********
if they implement the tourist tax then yes, because DTV is a tourist visa

Its not mandatory to fill in the departure details. I just checked it
Dany ********
don’t overthink it. it will be super easy and not strict at all. would most likely even be able to fill it out at arrival airport…
Brandon ************
It's for EVERYONE that isn't a Thai citizen. It's just replacing an old paper form they used to hand out on the plane with a new digital form. Many countries have a similar system.

I went through the form on a dummy run, assuming a land based entry by car. I entered a car license plate for entry and while I also entered the same one for exit there is no need to enter outbound travel details.
Bryan ********
The real problem is the form asks for country of residence and Thailand isn't an option lol
Anna *********
@Bryan *******
it is now apparently

Thailand never considers a nonThai part of their country. You are just a guest and ATM. If you can accept that, you can have the best life here.

@Bryan *******
you just put your origin country is fine. Even though I’m living here in Thailand, I just put my country.
Paul *******
@Bryan *******
The version that goes live will have Thailand as a residence option.
Barry ******
Put the last country you flew from if you're a digital nomad

Your fancy graphic post is not showing up... UNTIL you click on it.

If its mandatory Just put in any flight going out.. Ideally a flight number that you would use when you fly outside

@Barry *****
it's not marked with a red star. It's not mandatory. I just did a test on the website
Paul *******
@Barry *****
You don't need to input outbound travel derails.
Julian *******
From what I’ve read, all visa statuses are required to complete the TDAC when coming into Thailand by air, land and sea.
Barry ******
Everyone except citizens

Departure details are not mandatory

Did you also forget about non-O visa/extension holders? 😆
