I'm pretty certain you can stay until the end of that particular extension of stay. Then you would need to change too a different permission to stay. There's no widower visa.
No more odd I guess than reports of people being denied entry on ME Tourist visas when immigration say you have had too many entries. I guess there's a criteria in the system that simply says no.
Much the same as KL and others now simply refusing visas to SA passport holders. They quite simply for some reason, don't want SA passport holders in the country for longer than 30 days.
The immigration office hours are just so unsuitable. People are struggling to get time out from work to enable them to get there and extend! They really should consider putting a night shift on.
Just reading back through one of them threads. One guy had left the country weeks before but seems there was an omission in the immigration database and it had him down as being on overstay. He's sorted now but reading it, it was a bit of agro as he wasn't in the country and found out when they raided his house via his girlfriend and the neighbours being questioned.
Been some reports on the Darkside forum of the same and in a few different provinces.
Appears checks were made and they was legitimate immigration police with orders from Bangkok to check on long term stayers that haven't left the country for some time.
