DTV Approved based on dental treatment. Sorry if I don't go into extreme details. I spend a lot of time in Thailand on an off but now more time working in my home country. I used to work remotely but not anymore. In the future I definitely plan to spend more time learning Thai in Bangkok and more time in general in Thailand. Before DTV I would have went for a education visa this year and possibly an METV at some point over the next 18 months. So basically DTV cover's all that and more the multi entry aspect is extremely appealing.
Embassy London. Didn't do a lot of research. Just searched for dental within the group. Happy to gamble the ฿10,000 but didn't necessarily want to pay for a Muay Thai course.
I've had some treatment before in Bangkok before so they had my records but I emailed a couple more just in case 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽.
The dentist's were asking for pictures of my teeth and some wanted x-rays which I didn't have. Eventually I got 2 appointments and a sort of treatment plan from a couple of them.
Submitted my application with screenshots of the dentist which provided the most information with 2 appointments and screenshots of my bank account.
More information required. Actual bank statements in pdf and a letter from the dentist signed by a doctor.
I emailed the dentists again. The original said the doctor can only sign medical certificates but would provide an appointment slip which they never did. Then I revised my plan and went back to the dentist which worked on my teeth before. Same issue, a doctor would only sign a medical certificate but they actually did provide an appointment slip this time which is really basic with no signature 😔😔😔
So I thought my application is dead in the water and there's no point to continue because I don't have the required signed letter. Anyway I just decided to submit it anyway and I explained everything and added this explanation to the appointment slip. Waiting for the rejection email I got an email asking for flight details 🤐🤐🤐
Wow, surely they wouldn't ask for flight details if my application was rejected 🤔. Anyway after supplying flight details I got an email on the 11th Dec Approved 🤗🤗🤗🤗
I think the dental route is the cheapest but riskiest and surely I got lucky. If you want to go the dental route and you're in the region I'd advise you to visit a dentist and get some official letter for follow up treatment and use that. Once you have an official signed letter it's in the bag as I know another who went this route.
