Hi all,

#applyingfromuk

I’ve started filling out my application but haven’t submitted it yet.

Just two quick questions regarding the requirements:

3. Document indicating current location

Has anyone used an *immigration* *entry stamp* as proof of current location? (This is what I’m planning to use.)

I know some people use a hotel booking confirmation letter, but my company booked a hotel for me in the UK under the company name & details, not mine, so I won’t be able to use that.

4. Financial evidence: Amount no less than 500,000 THB (e.g. bank statements, sponsorship letter)

Most of my funds are in crypto, and I recently converted some to GBP around £12,000 and transferred it to my main bank account.

My question is: when submitting 3 months of bank statements, will it be a problem that the required amount only started showing in the last few days?

I plan to submit my P60 or a few payslips from my company as well (if there’s an option to upload more than 5 supporting documents).

*Which leads to another question: is there an option to submit more than 5 documents under the supporting documents section?*

Thanks in advance!

Hey, I’m planning to apply soon for DTV as a remote worker. I just got a new job at a new employer with a fully remote contract starting soon.

Is there generally a certain minimum amount of time/tenure you need to be actively employed on your current contract for DTV application? How much time on your current contract is needed for remote worker DTV application?

London embassy just said my husband has to be a UK resident to apply for the DTV. Nowhere on the Thai evisa website does it say you have to apply from your country of residence. I've emailed them back saying this and that there is countless evidence of people applying with hotel bookings, and asking for more confirmation. Did anyone else get a response like this?

Thank you

Can artists apply for the dtv? (I'm thinking along the lines of fine art artists who do artist residencies and essentially having this be like an artist residency).

Just received approval for DTV from the UK Embassy.

Submitted on 22nd March.

I applied for the workation version as I am the director of a limited company since 2005. It doesn't do much except hold some digital assets that provide an income.

Originally I submitted the documents asked for on the Online form.

> Bank statement (initially I did the company one)

> photo taken on phone

> photo of passport bio page only

> letter from director (me) saying can work remotely and understand thai work/immigration rules and why I should work remotely in Thailand

> copy of utility bill from my rented flat in uk

They requested additional documents after a day or two.

> further letter from authorised person at my company stating I can work remotely. This time I got my accountant to do it in his capacity as company secretary

> personal bank statement. I sent money to natwest and ordered an interim statement on their app via the AI assistant. This took one day to appear

> proof of me as director on companies house. I did a long screenshot so it could show all the info.

A few days later it changed to pending approval so I just waited for further contact.

The visa starts immediately even though I stated June 20th as my arrival date.

They did not request passport pages, or any other proof of income, tax returns, bank statements, or proof of location in addition to the utility bill.

I was also looking at retirement visa as I'm old enough but this one seems the beat option for the price and no arduous process to apply.

A thai bank account would be nice so will look into that next time I am in the kingdom.

Hello all, I would like to get some feedback from you all on something as I will soon be trying to apply for the DTV.

Regarding the "Employment contract or employment certificate" that the application asks for: I am a remote worker, employed by a company based in the U.S. That is to say, I am an employee of that company. But I don't have a contract with them. I believe they call it "at-will" when you don't have a contract, which mean either party may terminate the employment at anytime. In this case, is it okay just to have my employer write a letter addressed to the embassy stating my name, what I do, etc, and that they give me permission to work remotely in Thailand? I found a template online that someone else used, they call it a "Employment Confirmation Letter". Will this be sufficient in place of a contract?

Secondly, I understand that a salary amount needs to be listed in this letter. Do you know if it should be monthly or yearly? In my case, I'm still considered an hourly employee where I clock in and clock out when performing work duties. And so my paychecks are not always the same amount, as it depends on the number of hours. I'm wondering if I can just use the yearly amount reported on my 2024 W-2 that I used when filing my tax return.

Thirdly, some of the examples I seen others use for this employment letter, it was signed by the owner. Do you know if the letter specifically needs to be signed by the owner or can the General Manager's signature also be sufficient.? In my case, the owner hardly ever visits the property. It's the General Manager that I report to and oversees all of my work. And it was the General Manager that I originally went to asking about working remotely. The owner of the company basically leaves all of the decision making up to the General Manager. But I'm not sure which is the more appropriate signature in this case, or if either will do.

And lastly, are there any other additional documents my employer needs to provide other than this permission letter? Of course I will provide payslips too (I assume 6 months worth?), but I have access to my payslips myself. Just wondering if there's any other information that the company I work for needs to provide?

Thank you in advance for your help.

I need some advice please.

For DTV for business owner who wishes to work remotely from Thailand (currently in USA). What can the applicant use for proof of remote work?

1. Does THB500,000 have to be in personal account only? Can it be in business account?

(i have read on another post that someone got rejected because the money was in the business account)

2. Is there anything else we will need for proof of remote work for the DTV?

What we have now are

✅ Cover Letter explaining why applicant wants to apply for DTV and indicating monthly income per month, job description)

✅ Company Website

Thank you kindly,
