Guideline to Thailand e-visa

14 June 2019 will be the last day the Embassy will process visa application by post, submitted with the old visa application forms. Any old visa applications received after 14 June 2019 will be returned to the applicants.

In order to access online visa application, please go to [members only]

Applicants are required to set up an account and submit visa applications as an individual, or apply through travel agencies as previously, where travel agencies will submit online applications on their behalf. However, supporting documents have to be attached and payment of visa fee in pound sterling (£) has to be made online through secured portal. There will be no refund if visa application is rejected, or applicants paid for multiple entry visa but only eligible to get single entry visa.

Applicants can either book an appointment to submit their passports and visa applications in person at the Embassy, or submit them by post.

Please note that the Royal Thai Consulates in Cardiff, Gibraltar, Glasgow, Hull, and Liverpool in the UK, and in Dublin, Ireland, will continue to receive and process visa applications in the same way. Those who wish to apply for visa at the Royal Thai Consulates can continue to do so as usual.

Visa application by post

Important notice

Please note the validity of visa and permitted length of stay below.

If you apply for single-entry tourist visa, you can stay in Thailand up to 60 days only. The 30-day visa exemption scheme is not included in the tourist visa, and the permitted length of stay remains up to 60 days

TLDR : Answer Summary
Starting 15th June 2019, UK and Ireland visa applicants must apply online for Thai visas through the Royal Thai Embassy in London; the Paris Embassy will switch to this method on 17th June. Postal applications will no longer be accepted after 14th June, and all applications must be made through the online portal. Applicants need to create an account, submit documents electronically, and pay fees securely online. Refunds are not provided in cases of application rejection or if applicants apply for the wrong visa type. Clarifications about the single-entry tourist visa and the processes for submitting additional documents have been discussed in the comments.

you scan and upload everything they require electronicly first and pay. Once you receive the email to say the application has been succesful, you then arrange to either go to the embassy or send all the hard copys that you uploaded originally plus £10 for return postage by cash or postal order (No cheques or card payments) to the Embassy

Notice now if you apply for a multiple entry visa and your only eligible for a single entry visa for whatever reason, there is NO refund on the difference in cost. Neither is there a refund at all for failed applications. Best to check, double check then check again before you submit the application and hit the pay button. Payment is due on SUBMISSION of the application NOT once the application has been agreed.

Also be aware, that as previously, 'O' visa applications can only be for single entry. Multiple entry visas such as an O-A, still need to be applied for online via London

Here is a link to the Hull consulate that is freshly updated. Although I've not been through all of it, I'm not seeing any postal option for consulates and you actually need to go there.
