FYI

There appears to be some major changes not easily noticed now the London Thai Embassy has moved to online application regarding multiple entry Non O visas.

I have just picked up on this posted elsewhere.

Perhaps the beginning of the end of these class of multiple entry visas?

Other than the OA visa on the e visa website the only non immigrant visa that is shown as being possible for a multiple entry is the a non-b.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The message discusses recent changes in the application process for multiple entry Non-O visas at the Thai Embassy in London, indicating a shift to online applications. There are concerns from long-term expats, especially under 50 years of age, about the implications of these changes, including the possibility of having to apply for new visas more frequently.

I just looked and it appears to me that I cant apply for a multiple entry non o Visa anymore as I am under 50. What the hell am I supposed to do now, I've been living here for 17 years, wife, child, house etc. Am I now to apply for a new Visa every few months when I want to come back to my family? This is getting ridiculous.

Thanks Robert. Just been in touch with someone who knows the score and that's what I'm going to do. 400K in the bank and should be good to go. I wasnt sure if I could use this way of staying here as i have to go in and out of Thailand for work but apparently if i get a re-entry permit i can do just that. Or so i am told. Fingers crossed I'll find out in August when i try it.

17 years living in Thailand and married to a Thai National. Options get the yearly Extension of Stay based on married to a Thai National or get Thai Citizenship, no more visa or work permits needed.

regarding your question if there will be problems with leaving the country on an extension of stay, the answer is no, if you have a re-entry stamp. You can get a single re-entry for 1000 baht or a multiple for 3800 baht. They let your extension stay alive when come back. Regarding 90 days visits to immigration, you only have to do those if you are actually in the country for 90 days or more. If your travels brings you in and out of the country in less than 90 days at a time, you will never do a 90 day report.

thanks. I have always got that Visa from the UK but it looks like it's gone now maybe Savannakhet is an option. Can I ask what HCMC is please?

I think the Non-O multiple entry based on marriage is exactly what you're looking for. The visa is one year, you have to leave Thailand every 90 days (or less), and there's no re-entry permit to purchase. You also don't have to report to immigration every 90 days, and you don't need to show proof of funds over at Savannakhet or HCMC.

Mikkel Kruse thank you for that info. I do not have the funds as I just paid my thai mortgage off. But I will be 50 in a few months and should be able to have

0 in the bank by then. The only problem is I have to go overseas regularly on business and I dont know if I can leave the country regularly if I am on an extension of stay based on marriage or of I have to report to immigration every 90 days regardless. I have to do more research. Thanks.

there is still the option of visiting savannakhet or HCMC while here and get the 1 year multi entry visa without proof of funds. Or get an extension of stay while here and a multi reentry stamp if you can meet the financial requirements. There is also a few other thai embassies nearby that will give you the multi entry non-o based on marriage, but do require proof of funds. You don't necessarily have to buy a single entry in your home country each time.
