I picked this up off another forum. It's regarding Thailand Elite and a TM30 at CW when first getting the Visa put in your passport

Basically, you cannot get the visa put in your passport any longer until you have filed a TM30. Thailand Elite cannot file it for you.

Greetings from Thailand Elite Member Contact Center.

Thank you very much for your information; we are delighted to have the opportunity to serve you.

With regards to your inquiry, you can make a reservation for affixing 1st Thailand Elite Visa at Immigration Bureau in Chaeng Wattana at least 5 working days in advance (which means, it will be available from 26 June 2019 onward if you make a reservation today).

- Please confirm if the visa you're holding now is Tourist Visa.

- Before coming to Bangkok to affix the visa, we need yo remind you about TM30. Please find details as following;

Notification of residence of foreigners for businesses (TM30)

The Landlord Notification Receipt, or TM30, is an important document that all foreigners are required to have while staying in Thailand. It is the responsibility of your landlord or landlady (the owner of the place you're staying) to notify the Immigration in that area when any foreigner stays at his or her property within 24 hours. If your landlord or landlady doesn't do the report, he or she will be fined 800-1,600 Baht.

Once the report is done, there will be a TM30 receipt. You will have to bring the TM30 receipt with you to contact with the immigration office on any matter.

Without TM30 report receipt, you won't be able to affix Thailand Elite Visa at the immigration bureau. The immigration bureau will not allow you to do any activity if you do not have a TM30 receipt. Therefore, no service can, or will, be provided if your landlord has not done TM30 for you.

Here are the documents your landlord or landlady will have to prepare:

A copy of his or her photo ID – signed in BLUE ink

A copy of the title deed (house registration book) for his or her property where you are staying – signed in BLUE ink

A copy of the rental contract Complete a TM30 form, signed in BLUE Ink

Here are the items you need to provide:

A copy of your passport photo page signed in BLUE Ink

A copy of the visa page in your passport signed in BLUE Ink

A copy of the most recent entry stamp in your passport signed in BLUE Ink

A copy of your Departure Card (TM6), which you should keep in your passport signed in BLUE Ink

The example form of TM30 is as attached. We are very sorry to inform you that Thailand Elite cannot offer service on this matter, as it's the landlord duty to report your presence.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Best Regards,

TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a Thailand Elite Visa, you must first file a TM30 form, which is a notification of your residence by your landlord. The TM30 must be submitted to Immigration within 24 hours of your arrival, and you must present the TM30 receipt when applying for your Elite Visa. Thailand Elite does not handle TM30 submissions, so it's solely the landlord's responsibility to report your stay. You will need to prepare various documents for both your landlord and yourself, signed in blue ink, to complete this process successfully.

This is ALL we know about the TM.30. IF you have questions NOT addressed in it, your immigration office is the place to be asking the questions. (OR the elite card customer service people)

I’m getting my Elite visa next week. I had no idea about this. Does this TM30 rule mean that I have to prepare all of these documents and submit them again every 90 days?

You (or your landlord) files a TM.30, then you keep that receipt in your passport. You need to update a TM.30 when you come in from out of the country (and in some immigration offices when you come back from inside the country travel too).

I just got my passport back today from Thailand Elite for the 90 day report. I do not have a TM30 receipt.

I better get that done before next 90 report.

This is my 4th one. When I did the first one the IO questioned my address. Lucky I brought my lease agreement with me. She looked at every page then entered my address off the lease.

After that they appeared to compare the address on their screen with the one on my report.

i just had someone who has NEVER done a 90 day report who holds a thai elite visa and they said the elite company wouldn't do their 90 day report until they'd filed a TM.30.

Another bit of info is IF you have the thai elite card/visa they won't even do your 90 day reporting anymore for you without you having proof of having filed a TM.30,

1st of all need to report your address using TM30 Form, after that then can claim the Elite visa.
