I recently had a message from my contact at the Royal Thai Embassy in London saying they would be delaying the roll out of the Online application service for visas due too some changes being made. The service wouldn't now be implemented until May 2019 and not April as planned.
The website now reflects that change.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The rollout of the Online Visa Application service for Thailand has been postponed until May 2019, according to a contact at the Royal Thai Embassy in London. Updates on this change are reflected on the official website, although some embassy staff still mention the previous April timeline. Users have expressed concerns about the changes and uncertainty surrounding the new online system.

Yeh I found out the other day just after I got my O-A application accepted even though the signs in the Embassy still refer to April 1st. One of the reasons I did it early was to avoid being a guinea pig for the new online system☹️
As you mention your passport I guess you like to know this: The 1 year validity of the visa starts at the day the visa is attached to your passport. On entry in Thailand before the Enter Before or Valid Until date on the visa you will get 1 year of Admitted to Stay. As the visa is Multiple Entry you can leave and come back till the Enter Before or Valid Until date on the visa as much as you like.
James - I am in the process of applying for the Non Immigrant O-A for the same reasons as not wanting to be a guinea pig....does it start when it is issued in London or does it start when passport is stamped at airport in Bangkok? Thanks - Chris
