TLDR : Answer Summary
There have been reports of difficulties in obtaining a Single Entry Non-B visa in Penang, with some applications being denied due to multiple entries in the applicant's history. Updated information from the Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur indicates that specific documentation is now required for back-to-back Non-B applications. Despite this, there have been successes reported with multiple entry Non-B visas under certain conditions. The community is closely monitoring changes in visa issuance practices.
So, as Phang Nga mainly issues 6 month wp to most foreign employees, does anyone know if Phang Nga immigration can issue a 3 month extention of stay as it appears another local consulate may not issue back to back non b? Thanks
Two weeks ago you could still get the multi entry directorial Visa with no issues in Penang. Regarding back to back single non b, they have questioned me last year, saying they might deny if I do a single entry non b again next time, that was a verbal warning. When I came to them with all the paperwork regarding being a director they issues the multi entry non b with no question or any comments.
I think the requirements for getting a multiple entry non-B and a single entry Non-B are a lot different. I get the feeling the single entry Non-B back-to-back are used by Scuba dive teachers in the southern islands.
The attached document written in Thai specifies a list of other documentation required before they will issue a back to back non-b so it is still possible to obtain them.
