I noticed somebody was having a problem applying for visas for themselves and there son using E visa.

You need to use the option in the screenshot and then both applications are sent together.

If you go to pending visa applications, the last application you was working on will be sitting in there. Click on it and recover it.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post explains how to successfully apply for visas for individuals and their children using the E visa system in Thailand. It describes the necessary steps to ensure that both visa applications are submitted together and highlights a common issue faced by users where only one visa type appears when attempting to apply for multiple persons. A comment adds that to overcome the issue, one must complete the first application before proceeding with the second.

I had the same issue when I click yes and try to apply for the second person, I only get one choice for the Visa type (the same like the first application) not able to choose a different type.

Had to complete the first one (booking and payment) and then apply for the second

to be honest, it's about the only online application system out that even allows it.

The rest of the systems require each applicant to have there own account and log in passwords.

It's set up for individuals and family members etc that would be travelling together.

Only registering as an agent can you then apply for different visa types in the same batch of applications.

Its just how it is

Doesn't makes sens to me, how do you expect all people traveling holding the same visa.

I'm not sure whether it's a bug or the designed way to do it.

But any way manged to complete both separately, hopefully with the same appointment date and time

ok I understand now. Yes the system only allows you to enter the same visa type as they expect you to be travelling together.

If you wanted to apply for different visa types on the same application, you need to register as an agent. Then as a travel agent it is possible. I have no idea what they request though to register.

Ramos Nihontō maybe a silly question but was you using the other persons name and passport details?

I've tried some dummy runs and it works ok how it is supposed too.
