London online E visa application.

I am seeing some report's that the London Thai Embassy are now doing it the way they were supposed too.

You will now receive an email within 2 days, (After online application) to say if your application is successful, failed or they require further information. You now (Apparently) need too await the email before sending your documents and passport if using the postal option and are not using the appointment system for a personal visit.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The London Thai Embassy has updated its online E visa application process, now requiring applicants to wait for an email confirmation about their application status (success, failure, or need for further information) within two days of submission. Only after receiving this confirmation should documents and passports be sent for processing, if not attending in person. Changes include a shift to a fully digital application process, eliminating the prior method of submitting documents by post after applying online. Currently, only single entry Non O visas are issued from London, with the applicant needing to create an account on the designated website to proceed.

Makes sense. I never understood why they didn’t do that in the first place, seems like the whole point of having the system set up this way. 🤓

I do not have any insider knowledge, but have a lifetime in IT. I am convinced that the core of the system is the e visa on arrival app that Thai immigration use. They extended it and presented it to Foreign Affairs without any significant consultation about business processes. As a result the Embassies and Consulates are just now taking the first baby steps toward actually using the system.

Any input on how to upload docs with the .5 mb limit !! This is hard to fit in for the papers for single entrance business visa. Thanks !

I used the new system in June just after it came online. Submitted my application electronically with the scans it requested, and then got an appointment to take in my Passport which was all they wanted. No extra papers at all. Went back next day and picked up my Passport with visa. Chaotic at the time because the system was new and the basement area was being rebuilt. Got a 90 day O visa based on marriage and I did not get the impression that they were interested in supporting evidence.

So what's changed regarding Non imm 'O based on marriage with London. I applied last year online (june) and recieved a multi. Filled in the application form, recieved an email to send them my passport and docs, passport/visa back 2 days later.

digitally FIRST. Then you either post it all off OR make an appointment. Turn the hard copys in and go back the next day to collect the visa. Only single entry visas though for a 90 day stay. Country's using E visa, no longer issue multiple entry Non O. Only O-A or O-X are issued as multiple entry.

Sound, but i did fill in an online form, and then also submitted the requested docs by post. Copies of Bank statement, Mrs I.D, Tebian Baan, marriage cert etc. So now it all has to be scanned and sent digitaly?.

Daz Dopaliscious Thornton last year London never had online e visa application. Now it has, it is the ONLY way you apply. No more multiple entry non O visas are issued in London. Only single entry are now issued.

Now you create an account and apply here
