Just too add to the choice confusion of applying for a Non Immigrant visa on the E visa website.

They have taken out the options of applying to Accompany your Thai wife

Accompany Thai children

Accompany someone working in Thailand.

I believe it's now condensed too visiting or staying with applicants family resided in Thailand more than 60 days as per the screen shot.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Recent changes to the E visa website have removed specific options for applying for a Non-Immigrant O visa, such as accompanying a Thai spouse or children, and focusing instead on visiting family in Thailand for more than 60 days. Users have confirmed that a single-entry Non-O visa can still be acquired for visiting family, which can be later extended with proof of funds. Caution is advised when selecting application options to avoid mistakenly applying for a tourist visa.

Yes. Nothing changed in Thailand. You can get a single entry non O for visiting family and extend it in Thailand using either 400k in a Thai bank account for 2 months or proof of 40k a month for 12 months of income to a Thai bank account

The money must be in the bank at least 2 months prior application date. If you come from the UK with a Single Entry Non Immigrant O visa based on marriage you get 90 days of stay when you enter Thailand. At least 2 months is more than 62 days, calculator, 90 - 62 = 28 days left to arrange a bank account in Thailand on your name and put the money on.

HI Ron just got the 60 day visiting family for more than 60 days . To apply for the 90 day extension at the end of the 60 days. Would i have to have the money in the thai bank for 60 days , so would have too have the 400.000 in the bank before i left the uk is that correct

Does this mean you can apply when im back in Thailand for an extension? As i have always been on a non o marriage visa before

Just be aware. There is also an option for the reason above to visit family living in Thailand for less than 60 days. Pay attention to this when you apply otherwise the system will issue a Tourist visa if you select the wrong option
