I do have a question about the 2/3 month seasoning before and the 3 month after on 800000 baht for a retirement extension. Is the date this measured on the date you apply/receive the extension or is it the start/end date of the extension?

Hello everyone! I’ll be applying for the DTV visa soon from America/ Washington DC embassy. I only have 1 month (2 months tops from the date of my flight) proof of bank statements with 500,000 TBH.

I’m commission based and can’t show steady monthly income but I have a big chunks of change come in sporadically.

Wondering:

How strict is the 3 month bank statements requirement?

Will I automatically get denied if I only send in 1 month?

If so, what visa should I apply for instead for a long term stay for someone under 50?

Thank you!

"Trade Finance Deposit

Trade Finance

Trade Ref no. IR25083000037050"

Does this indicate International deposit ??

Hi members..

Just want to confirm something. Please reply if you only know the truth.

Different stories about visas.

If you been married to a Thai national for over 2 months the bank fee comes down to

400000bht.

And can you show funds in your bank or does it have to be deposited into Thai bank.

Does the money stay in bank

And no can use.

The approval of my DTV visa. I was never asked by Thai immigration to produce the DTV visa; they merely stamped my passport.

I paid less than 10,000 baht for the soft power (cooking class), but the price has already increased.

The retirement visa requirements are confusing me. You have to open a Thai bank account and maintain a minimum balance to apply for the retirement visa, but in order to open the account, you have to show that you already have a long-term visa…. which you can’t get until you get the bank account ? Can someone please straighten me out?

Would there be any problem with a DTV approach where one intends to use the Muay Thai reason for the entire 5 years, and then again and again, indefinitely? I'm advising a friend who is considering retiring here, and he has done a lot of martial arts study in the past and can actually see himself doing very long term Muay Thai study.

Hi! Thank you for welcoming me into your group. I am a therapist in MA and looking to move to Thailand around this time next year with the plan to work remotely with my current clients. I am a single mom with a daughter who will be graduating from high school next year. As I continue to do my research, I was told that the best visa option for me to pursue would be the DTV as it would allow me to work remotely and remain in the country longer before having to renew. Along with the other requirements, is this the best course to pursue? Thanks.
