I’m currently in “jolly ol” England and want to get a MULTIPLE ENTRY visa in advance.

Can anyone recommend a UK consul where it’s straightforward to get a multiple entry tourist visa?

The following requirements are a bit baffling and don’t reply apply-

3- Copies of your latest 6 month’s bank statements showing a minimum of £5,000 (or equivalent in certain other currencies) at the beginning/end of each month. Bank statements must show applicant’s name and address.

6- Copy of Confirmed Return/Onward Air Ticket to and from Thailand (return to be within the validity and terms of the visa)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on obtaining a multiple entry tourist visa for Thailand from the UK, expressing concerns about the visa application process, specifically the requirement for bank statements showing at least £5,000 and a confirmed return ticket. Several commenters suggest the best location for applying, with Hull noted as an easier option compared to London and the option to check documents via email before going. Others discuss the requirements and procedures at the various consulates.

You can email all of your documents up to Hull first - they will check them, and let you know if there are any issues before you go up. We did the trek up from Brighton as it’s apparently so much easier than dealing with London.

We got there late morning, and because we had emailed our docs up before, the whole thing took about 20 mins.

It’s not a bad train journey. Out of Kings X, then take a taxi from the station to the consulate.

If you're in London, go to Thai Embassy in London. 29-30 Queen's Gate, South Kensington, London SW7 5JB, UK
Robert *******
There is no UK consul where you can apply for a Thailand Visa. Only at Thai Embassy or Consulate, if you think the requirements are baffling or you can not meet than choose another option.

They want 3 copies of your bank statements showin at least £5000

Also a copy of your flight ticket, with onward travel from Thailand.

They want you to prove you have funds to look after yourself and they want proof that you have flights to leave Thailand.

Pretty straight forward really.

I think you should go pick him up and hold his hand and bring him there.

Hull is the best. Maybe a bit of a trek. But worth it. Birmingham was great before the Hon Counsel died

that’s the standard for the 6 month METV no matter where you go...
Ron *******
If you haven't had the 5k in your account for 6 months, your not going to get the visa.
Adrien ******
That applies to the Hull Consulate too. I'm afraid. The only difference with the outside Consulate's are that it's a same day service and less hassle

@Sarah *******
the 2 points I made in my original post.

I need to book a flight first

And you need to have a minimum 5k in your bank account for 6 months.
Adrien ******
Yes. No issues but not same day service and they sometimes can be difficult depending on the day and the staff that are working

what's wrong with the thai embassy in london? i got my setv there and it was easy
Adrien ******
Yep. Same Day service if you get there early. But yep a trek. Train the day before might be easier though
