Patenaude Anthony you can always easily extend it by 30 days at a local immigration office. so 3 months is not a big deal

DTV is a multiple entry visa. you can come and go as you please

David Walley non-oa does not need a thai account. you get that visa outside of thailand via eVisa and you get about 2 years out of it until you need to re-apply. can allways use your home bank.

for non-o i would also go the „transfer way“. its such a waste of money to let it sit in a thai account with little to no interest. but yeah you need a reliable thai bank for that as well…

for me with a dtv i cannot open a bank. but tbh i do not miss an account here at all with all the other options available.

that bank went quickly from being the best and goto bank for expats to be the worst within just a year.

another reason to just not have a bank account here at all or just use it for on demand tranfers and have only little sums in there but no savings.

sure… go there with your passport and provide all documents again with a fresh date / signature / whatever. financial proof. work or soft power proof. residency proof (same as retirement visa holders: housebook + rental contract, houseowner ID, pictures of the house, drawn map where the house is), passport pictures. 1900 baht

Janina Schreiber okay. anyway. expect it to be the 11th april… you can easily extend your visa at the krabi immigration office if you need to… go there at 08:20 and you will be out before 09:00. very easy. only need passport and maybe hotel + adress
