Hello everyone, on November 21st yesterday, I received my DTV visa in Vientiane, Laos. It only took me 5 working days from application to approval, which is amazing speed. On the same day, I successfully entered Thailand through Friendship Bridge with my DTV visa. Refusal of entry is only for frequent Border runners .not for DTV holders. I hope this information is helpful to everyone
Just sharing my DTV journey - I have entered for 3 times within a year of receiving DTV. Today, I landed at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), and felt a bit worried due to recent declaration of stricter screening especially to the travelers who enter Thailand with Visa exemption scheme although DTV holders are not in targeted list. But, the whole immigration process took place so quickly. I handed my passport, the boarding pass, the printed eVisa and completed TDAC in my phone (Officer even didn’t look at my phone as my TDAC already appeared in his computer after scanning my passport). He didn’t ask any questions, scanned my passport & the barcode of my eVisa, stamped for 180 day stay and finished. That’s totally different with the 1st time of entry that I was individually interviewed by the officer in charge of the border checkpoint (I entered Thailand with the DTV for the first time through border crossing from Cambodia), and I even missed the bus due to interviewing, long waiting time to finish immigration clearance to other travelers and interrogation to other travelers before me. This means 1st time is to be careful while the process is quite straightforward in subsequent times of reentries.
Entered Thailand at BKK and was admitted effortlessly with my DTV printout that was laminated. Stamped and official. Thanks to those here for the help along the way. It made a difference.
Hi there, I entered Thailand yesterday with my DTV for the first time, via Phuket airport. I had my visa printed. The lady left with my passeport and visa to go ask something to one of her colleague, came back, stamped, no questions ask. I think she just wanted to be sure what to do with it. No stress 😇
Arrived in bkk yesterday, was fully prepared with all supporting docs, incase i was asked any questions as ive been in and out alot in the last 4 years it was starting to become an issue, just handed passport and e visa to the io, wasnt asked any questions at all, not even for the tdac and got 6 month dtv stamp in, nice and smooth
Got my Non O visa approval today. Does it start the day I enter Thailand. Will I need an onward ticket. Thank you everyone for the information that has gotten me this far.
Hi. I’ve just done my TDAC and it was easy and I got my confirmation and QR code straight away,
The only bit that gave me pause was the sub district ( in the address section) because that wasn’t on my accommodation address. So I looked it up on the map. Hope that helps.
