Hey everyone. I was approved for dtv workaction after 4 days in Hanoi. My wife then took an extra 4 days to get dtv as a spouse. Just a heads up, the payment portal hasn't been working the best and you might need to contact the embassy. This has been a common problem for a month apparently. Also, when we entered Chiang Mai, all of the people with a dtv were told to step to the side. It was like they had no idea what the visa was and they don't have the technology for the qr code so you have to fill out a manual form and they question you a lot. Has anyone had this experience?
Hello everyone , my question ❓ what is best visa for a period no longer of 6 months max and if I do use a agent how much can it be !! Thanks in advance
Hi, have tried google but got conflicting answers, am curious about the digital nomad visa. Will soon be working remotely for a UK company, am a British citizen, want to move to Thailand. Does the 180 days mean you can only stay 180 days in a single year? Or does it mean you have to do a border run every 180 days?
Received my approved non immigrant o visa this morning but when I looked at the email , it said it was valid from the 25 th June when I received the mail. It says it is valid for 3 months until the 23 rd September. My flight is on 4 th August. I am hoping that means that the application is valid for 3 months and I will get a 3 month visa stamp at immigration at Bangkok airport. Can anyone tell me if this is correct ? Thanks
What is the best Visa to apply for if I want to come out with idea to look for place to live? Area. I don’t think tourist visa with 60+ 30 will be enough time. I’ve spent 3 months there on Holliday touring the country but lool at it for living.
Can someone please advise if the on entry visa with UK passport is still 60 days or did it change? I went in March and got 60 days but there was talk of changing it back to 30 days
hi guys! we're preparing to apply for our dtv visa. thanks for all the help 🫶🏼
here i share just a few more questions that i haven't found very clear info at the moment:
1. i understand you can stay up to 180 days per fiscal year. but what happens or what options do we have if we'd want to stay longer? and is this condition related to taxes?
for example: we'd like to leave thailand before our 180 days run out, but then re-enter the country the same year (like a visa run) so we don't lose our apartment contract. we'd also have our pets home to quickly get back to.
2. how does the 180 extension works then? you pay and you can stay the whole year?
3. you also have to make 90-days report. what's the name of this document or form to fill?
Question I have related to the new DTV visa. Does this 5 year window begin upon approval / issuance of the visa while the applicant is still residing in their home country, or does it begin when the applicant first sets foot on thai soil (which then initiates the first 180 visa stay period)? Hoping that anyone with DTV experience can answer this question. Thanks very much.
I am from the USA and this year my wife and I visited Thailand 🇹🇭 and family there for just short of 4 months. 1/10-4/25/25. We entered under the visa exempt and got 60 days twice, once on arrival and then after visiting Laos 🇱🇦.
When we were leaving there has been talk about this being done away with.
So for this years visit after Thanksgiving at the end of November I am looking at getting us either a multi entry tourist visa or a multi entry non o visa.
Can someone tell me the length of time you get per entry for each type tourist/non o visa.
I looked on the site and could not find the answer anywhere.
