Sorry to trouble you but grateful for assistance in access evisa initial 1 year oa retiree.Uk and visually impaired,previous to Thailand written applications.Cannot access Royal Thai Embassy site London without ads keep blocking .I wanted to draft ready but could only get sight of the visa application returnable to Washington DC Thai Embassy .can anyone give details to access online application for UK ,please ?

Was only nominal amount when I found out I couldn't renew visa I withdrew most .At that time Bangkok Bank in London would transfer to branch in the Kingdom if payments to them with additional reference .Once I return my U K payments can go direct to a new Thai Bangkok Bank branch when I open new account .

When I first stayed in Udon Thani in 2010 I had a I year o.a visa and went into Bangkok Branch at Big C there with Thai girlfriend and opened account with U K banknotes I'd brought .Account used until nominal balance left and I had to leave Thailand.When I returned in 2017 I found the account had been closed as inactive .Intend to return _ to stay _ later this year and open new account to transfer from my U K bank to close thatand have future payments transferred direct .The insurance requirement new to me .

i unfortunately used Moneygram twice when local Western Union not available and apart from being more expensive had hassles from their admin delaying both transfers.

Expats know and respect Thai customs for official business such as Immigration visits.I always wear long sleeve shirt , trousers and shoes and have never had a problem .

The clowns claiming to run the show in U K refused to bar flightd into U K when the pandemic started , persisted in nonsense of self isolation for arrivals instead of adopting the sensible Thai practice of local hotels authorised for isolation and taken there on arrival in the country , latterly some enforcement of isolation near UK arrival point , but announced 48 hours or so in advance so people rushed here to avoid it .An island also seemingly without the will to enforce closed borders during a medical emergency by allowing illegals to come with French connivance .When i can return to Thailand will be on a one way ticket , which cannot be construed as a holiday .

I had no trouble opening an account at a Bangkok Bank branch in Big C complex in Udon Thani , manager saw me with my Thai partner and depositing U K banknotes i had brought.This was several years before i reached 65 for U K state pension.I was away from Thailand several ýears and account closed in my absence.When i return to Udon Thani will again go to that Bank branch for preference and open new , show passport with retiree visa .And explain my U K bank account will be closed and transferred to them , plus monthly pensions from U K .If i have large U K banknotes will give Thai bank headed letter this withdrawn from my U K account .The U K banks are regulated to report large unexplained deposits to combat criminal activity _ not known if Thai banks similar .
